change user on desktop app (PC Win 10)
I have two accounts, and have recently transferred most of my files from one to another where I have more storage. Unfortunately, that is not the account that exists in my desktop app, and thus my fi...

Hi ajs4files
You need to :
- Unlink Dropbox from your computer via https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/settings-sign-in/sign-in-out
- Then I suggest removing and deleting the Dropbox folder (or moving it somewhere else)
- Then either relink Dropbox via above, or, probably easier to redownload via www.dropbox.com/downloading and sign in with the correct account

I have 2 logins for Dropbox.
But the only way to see the second login & folders is through the Dropbox webpage.
FileExplorer (on laptop) has no login option for a different Dbox login.
How do apps and FileExplorer change Dbox logins?
I'm trying to delete the old Dbox login after I move the files to the new login.
But none of my apps can change what login I see for Dbox.

You need to sign out of the first account before you'll be able to sign in to another. There can only be one individual account linked to your computer.

(I'm using Windows 10)
The answer does not work.
Using the Dropbox URL, I logged out of my old account and logged in to the new account.
While I can see the new files and folders on the Dbox web page, FileExplorer and other apps still see the old Dropbox. Apparently there isn't a way to update apps and FileExplorer to use the new acct.
Apparently having multiple accounts is not useful so I will copy all the old acct Dbox files to the new one.
And then I'm guessing I have to remove the Dbox app (it doesn't work anyway), then delete the Dbox entry in FileExplorer?
Then what?
Sign on to the new acct using the web page?
How do I get the Dropbox folder to show up in FileExplorer?

Hi BeachBum1085, if you sign out of the Dropbox desktop application, and then sign into the other account, that account's files will then begin to sync down to your computer.
What error did you get exactly when trying to do so?
