Need more than 1TB storage on a Personal account
Dropbox business, o dont need a package for 3 users, can i have more space in dropbox without a business account?

I just upgraded to Individual Professional so I can take advantage of selective sync. My heart fell when I realized that I am not allowed to buy more storage space. As a photographer, I'm desperate to find a seamless integration that is not just back up (which I pay for as well). I'm a one person show at this stage and am not at a point cash flow wise where I it makes any sense whatsoever to pay for a three person account. Please fix this! You are suddenly a good deal for everyone BUT solopreneurs who work with extremely large files. And there are a lot of us! If it is not dealt with by the time I pay have to pay my yearly fee in July, I will have no choice but to look elsewhere.

Ok, I activated business trial to see if it would solve my issues (I decided to bite the bullet and buy the three user licence). But now the camera sync stopped working (it's not supported in it's current form in a business account) and I still can't figure out how to enable pictures uploads from my mobile :(
What a mess...

Looks like Amazon Drive is the answer to being able to easily expand as a business. Very straightforward purchase page. (picture attached) Dropbox needs to take a hint.

It’s funny Dropbox has not even responded to this discussion. Is there any way to get past the wall of customer support and actually talk with the development team where we all show interest in this service?!

Hi... I wanted to throw my problem in the ring, maybe someone has an answer out there! my Personal Dropbox space is nearly full, I have a Dropbox Plus account and I'm on 0.97 TB. The next step is the Professional Plan. It has sync, which I would love to have but is still only 1TB. The problem still not solved. I feel Dropbox is falling behind here with their offering of 1TB. There's no way out except moving all my files to another competitor ... any suggestions would be appreciated. Why not make the Professional Plan 2TB Dropbox. I think it would please a lot of people and give a real choice in your Plans.
Regards,
Urban

It's probably because of the same reason that there aren't any chaper packages. I would pay $ 3 or $5 for 100 gb or even 50gb (like google drive), but not $10. It's like another Netflix! I guess the same thing happens with needing more space and not needing a business level. Dropbox should try to be a little more flexible.

I'm one of those guys who's always recommended Dropbox as it's SO useful and reliable, even if a bit slow sometimes. I've been a paying member for years.
Now I've hit my 1TB limit and only just realised with horror that I can't buy any more or upgrade. It seems Dropbox doesn't want customers like me. I am a freelance creative (just like thousands upon thousands of other Dropbox users) and so don't see Dropbox Business as a viable option (minimum £45 a month LOLZ WTF).
Why don't you want my custom any more Dropbox? Which of your competitors should I go to now?
- LusilDropbox StaffHey there edaked.Currently we only offer a 1 TB plan for Dropbox Plus/Professional accounts. Larger plans are only available with a Dropbox Business subscription. For more info on what each plan offers, check out this page. However, I do understand that this is important to you, and so I’ve made sure to pass your comments and thoughts along to the dev team for review. For this reason, I've also moved your post to Share an idea.I hope this helps to some extent. In the mean time, have a wonderful day ahead!

edaked...it does seem crazy to me that dropbox doesn't want more easy money, implimenting an added storage option doesn't seem too difficult. but if you look at the competitive landscape... Box.com offers unlimited storage on business - business plus pricing tiers at $15 and $25 respectively. Onedrive offers 5TB on the $9.99 plan and 1TB on thier $6.99 plan. This isn't considering other features each plan offers but on a pure storage level it does seem strange.
Now I'm sure this is obvious to thier product people ( product managers, business analysts etc..) and perhaps their figuring out how to impliment a larger storage option or increasing their pro plan to match their competition a little better.

Honestly, I think that Dropbox is pretty anti-sole proprietors (SP). A ton of your newest SPs are creatives. So 1TB of space can be chewed up fast, especially for photographers using it as a cloud back up for projects still in process. So for $9.99 you get 1TB, but the only way to get more space would be to pay $45 for 2TB because the next storage size up is only available for $15 a month per user with a 3 user min. For SP, this means you are having to pay for two users that don't exist. So $9.99 for the first TB and then $35.01 for the next TB is like charging $700 for an epi-pen. If they really cared about being attractive to SPs then they would offer a single user 2TB option in the $19 range.

Transitioning over to Amazon Drive - customer service has been super helpful with trying to make things work, which seems to be lacking at Dropbox. Turned my annual renewal off so I'm out of here!
Syncing your files as an individual is meant to be easy. Thanks for making life a headache Dropbox for all the early adopters (littles guys not the businesses) - you too customer support!
