I'm one of those guys who's always recommended Dropbox as it's SO useful and reliable, even if a bit slow sometimes. I've been a paying member for years.
Now I've hit my 1TB limit and only just realised with horror that I can't buy any more or upgrade. It seems Dropbox doesn't want customers like me. I am a freelance creative (just like thousands upon thousands of other Dropbox users) and so don't see Dropbox Business as a viable option (minimum £45 a month LOLZ WTF).
Why don't you want my custom any more Dropbox? Which of your competitors should I go to now?
- Lusil7 years agoDropbox StaffHey there edaked.Currently we only offer a 1 TB plan for Dropbox Plus/Professional accounts. Larger plans are only available with a Dropbox Business subscription. For more info on what each plan offers, check out this page. However, I do understand that this is important to you, and so I’ve made sure to pass your comments and thoughts along to the dev team for review. For this reason, I've also moved your post to Share an idea.I hope this helps to some extent. In the mean time, have a wonderful day ahead!

edaked...it does seem crazy to me that dropbox doesn't want more easy money, implimenting an added storage option doesn't seem too difficult. but if you look at the competitive landscape... Box.com offers unlimited storage on business - business plus pricing tiers at $15 and $25 respectively. Onedrive offers 5TB on the $9.99 plan and 1TB on thier $6.99 plan. This isn't considering other features each plan offers but on a pure storage level it does seem strange.
Now I'm sure this is obvious to thier product people ( product managers, business analysts etc..) and perhaps their figuring out how to impliment a larger storage option or increasing their pro plan to match their competition a little better.
