Print Screen doesn't save screenshots to dropbox anymore
I've used prtsc to capture my screenshots for like years now but for some reason dropbox doesn't recognize it anymore. The settings in dropbox are correct and its not a hardware problem b/c I can still press prtsc and then ctrl+v into paint.
I uninstalled and then re-installed Dropbox but the problem remains...
Any solutions?If it's OneDrive trying to take over the function, it is doing a damn good work, because I am sold!
Edit: Yeap, OneDrive working perfectly...
Edit no 2: The "solution" that worked for me was this. I disabled the function in the DropBox preferences and then I enabled the same function in the OneDrive settings. As I mentioned, OneDrive worked perfectly. But then I followed the opposite steps (disabling the function in the OneDrive preferences and then enabling the same function in the DropBox settings) and the DropBox fuction started working again!

- Press Print Screen to save the screenshot to your Dropbox.
- Press Ctrl + Print Screen to save the screenshot to your Dropbox and copy a link to the screenshot that you can immediately paste anywhere, such as an email message or a Facebook post. Anyone who clicks on the link will see your screenshot on a preview page on the Dropbox website.
The first time you do this, the application will ask if you want to save screenshots to your Dropbox. Click Save Screenshots to Dropbox.
Dropbox Business users: If you've connected your personal and work Dropboxes, you can also choose which Dropbox you want to save screenshots to. You can later change this setting on the Account tab in the desktop application preferences.
You can always turn this feature on or off in the application's preferences:
- Click the Dropbox icon in your menu bar.
- Click the gear icon and select Preferences… from the menu.
- Click the Import tab.
- Check or uncheck Share screenshots using Dropbox.

All suggestions on this tread are tried, it just doesn't work no more. I can do cntr+prnscrn, alt+prnscrn or just prnscrn, it all works fine to any other program but not to dropbox anymore.
I am really crosses about it since I used it a lot.
The suggestion to look in the Onedrive app for its setting is also not valid. Since all Onedrive is is a folders. There is nothing I can set exept the normal folder settings. It still works since files add on this PC are also add in Onedrive in another PC.
Only this PC has the issue with the print screen to dropbox. All other 4 (1) PC's I use with W10 still work fine.....
I'll guess only a reinstall of W10 (actually happened over the weekend automatically by Windows) could help?
Any more suggestions? Must be something in the register of windows. But even the suggestion in that direction on the dropbox troubleshooting guide didn't help. Suggested key simply don't excist in this W10 version.......

@George L.
Sorry, but If I right click on the cloud picto (in the task bar) a pull up menu appears. In that one I can unpin it from the task bar and the program pico again. Right click on the program picto I indeed get the Properties option. Open this one and I get basically the same options as in any other folder properties. 6 tabs; General - Shortcut - Campatibility - Securtiy - Details - Previous Versions. None of these have an option to check the print screen option. Even under the 'advanced' settings in some of these tabs not such option.
I did remove and re-installed the OneDrive app but to no avail.....

@Rudy P.
Hello again! I was not referring to the icon in the task bar, nor the icon in the program folder. I am referring to the icon in the system tray (notification) area, in the lower right part of your screen.
Here are some screenshots. Which, be the way, they were saved in me DropBox folder! :)
It’s in Greek, but I’ve bolded the screenshot setting.

@George L; You are right, I found it now. I didn't see it before because its actually hidden under the 'arrow'
So I switched 'save screenshots to OneDrive' on and it worked. So I switched it back off (because I want it in Dropbox) and in OneDrive it doesn't work no more.
But the screenshot still also not gets into dropbox still....... (I checked, its 'on' in dropbox)
So still no clue....

Happy 2016 for All!
To give some more update on this:
I tried all the above settings including the removal and re-install of OneDrive. Nothing helped. Dropbox still doesn't do screenshots anymore.
The strange thing is that the register keys the dropbox help section is referring to don't exist in my windows10 version... I scanned even for similar but nothing....
So in the end I gave up, I installed a small utility that does do the same (snipping tool) better and more conveniant. So sorry, end of story for me...

Same problem. Except I don't even have OneDrive installed. And my dropbox install is relatively fresh (one week) and I haven't installed anything else since. I tried unchecking and checking the screenshots box. No improvement. Now what?

Mine stopped working just after OneDrive tried to steal the function. It was fixed by enabling onedrive and disabling dropbox, then reversing the progress as a few people have mentioned earlier in the thread. Upvoted the people that had the working suggestion.
