Hello, Megan!
Sorry for the late reply.
- Dropbox version is 210.4.4854
- I restarted the PC and waited until it had done its initializing activities. Both Dropbox and OneDrive were disabled from startup and I did not run any of them. I then killed the three processes that had "Dropbox" in the name, which were there for some reason, even though Dropbox was not started:
- Then I opened "Program Files" from C: and scrolled up an down with arrow
keys. Scrolling was fast. You can see what the task manager showed
during that time: - I then started OneDrive and waited until it had initialised itself and
scrolled with arrow keys up an down in one of its subfolders. Scrolling
was very slow. You can see what the task manager showed during that time:
I hope this will clarify the issue.

Thanks for the screenshots, Cranthar.
I removed your links and added the corresponding images to your reply, to avoid unnecessary traffic in your account.
Can you let us know when you started noticing this issue? Was it after an update to your OS or perhaps a Dropbox update?
Also, can you please send us a screenshot of your local Dropbox folder, showing the sync icons on your files?

Hello, Hannah!
Thank You for adding the images!
This issue has been going on for about a year. I haven´t noticed any changes with either OS or Dropbox updates.
The files in the Dropbox folder don´t have any sync icons. I´m guessing it´s because I´m not running the app.

I see, thanks, Cranthar.
Would you mind launching the app, so we can get that screenshot of the sync icons?

Hello!
There doesn´t appear to be any sync icons. After launching the Dropbox app, the icons stay the same, but everything works fine - syncing, creating links, etc.
