They ask to join are team almost every time and the point is to share the view. Thanks10Views0likes1CommentCan I become a team admin, if the current admin has left? I want to pay for the team plan.
Folks. as it turns out I've been uploading to a clients shared Dropbox and they stopped paying for the account. I just caught it after 3 years. The ADMIN is gone and Im only a support admin. How do I pay for it and become the admin? The old person is long gone and no one from the company is answering me. If anything how can I just move all my images to a new Dropbox? Thank you for any help y'all can give me. Walter9Views0likes1CommentBetter Sharing & Better Branding
Dropbox is wonderful -- I've paid for professional for ten years -- but it could be immensely better.. You will make more money if you do these two related things:) (1) The branding feature is way too basic. The options seem like they're from 1995. It would be wonderful if we had more options and more customization. Specifically, if we could create different branding for different customers, it would be amazing. (I use Dropbox to share pictures and videos with my customers. I want to put THEIR branding on these files and galleries, NOT MINE.) (2) The experience of RECEIVING shared files is HORRIBLE, for the people who RECEIVE the links or transfers. Even using the current branding options, Dropbox still puts its OWN branding on the page – this is confusing for the receiver. It's messy and ugly, and it takes up too much screen space. They think they have to create a Dropbox account to receive the files. You are trying to get sales, through me, a paying customer -- that is **bleep**ty. Please take all your branding and sales prompts off these pages, for us paying customers. Also, browsing through pictures on shared links is a slow and not-intuitive process. It would be amazing if you could make it function like[removed per the Dropbox Community Guidelines]. These companies create beautiul galleries, and customers can easily create lists of their favorite pictures. You could actually steal all their business if you did this. I am 100% certain your customers would love these features:)22Views0likes1CommentPerformance issues with a Team account on the website
Hi everyone, This is my first post here, so I’ll start with a brief introduction. My team and I run a photo- and videography company based in Amsterdam. We rely heavily on Dropbox for uploading and previewing files in our daily workflow. For years, we used individual accounts, and while not perfect, things were manageable. However, earlier this year, we decided to upgrade to a Dropbox Team account (5 members), hoping for better collaboration and streamlined processes. Unfortunately, the experience has been anything but smooth. From day one, we noticed significant performance issues. The most critical problem is uploading files through the browser. Often, when we try to upload, nothing happens—the page stays stuck in a "loading" state. Refreshing either freezes everything or causes chaos: files start uploading randomly, sometimes double, and often to the wrong folder. We then have to wait for uploads to finish and manually move files to their intended location. This process is extremely time-consuming and frustrating. Previewing files (photos/videos) has also become a nightmare. Sometimes previews load instantly, but more often, we’re stuck refreshing repeatedly, waiting 30-60 seconds per file. It feels like a lottery whether a preview will work at all. These issues weren’t present when we used individual accounts, and it almost seems like Dropbox Team accounts operate on overloaded servers or an entirely different system. We've done all the standard troubleshooting and tested other storage providers to rule out hardware or internet issues—everything works fine except Dropbox. We're using top-tier hardware and the best internet speeds available in Amsterdam. To be clear, I’m not looking for "contact support" suggestions. We've already been down that road. Unfortunately, Dropbox support tends to focus on basic troubleshooting ("Have you tried restarting your computer?") rather than addressing the root cause. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues with Dropbox Team accounts? Are these known problems, or is it just us? Honestly, if this persists, we may need to reconsider our storage provider. We'd love to hear if others have found workarounds or solutions. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.36Views0likes4CommentsI clicked on a spam email, and now I don't have access to my Dropbox account.
Hi all, Accidentally, I clicked on spam email link received from fake Dropbox email address. Now, I lost access to all my Dropbox files, when I signed in back, it asked to reset the password, and then my business account downgraded to normal account and no files in it. Now, I cant reach customer care as its automatically downgraded basic account. Raised the issue with customer care through support portal, no one reached yet. One executive on the sales chat said, they will contact me on my phone, since 4 days they didn't reach me either. Complained to Dropbox Abuse team last week, no response from them. Can anyone help me, how can I contact Dropbox representative in this case? or Any suggestions how can i get the access back to my Dropbox?20Views0likes1CommentTeam folders in Power Automate have stopped working after 20/04/2024 upgrade
Since the upgrade to Dropbox on the 20/04/2024 we have encountered a number of issues with apps and programs that utilise Dropbox. Rather than confusing the issue, the first of these relates to Microsoft power automate. The team Dropbox folders that are shared with me and monitored by this program have now disappeared. The only Dropbox folders I can see our my specific folders, and not those that I have access to as part of a team. In my DBL Dropbox desktop folder I have my profile folder and then I have access to all the team folders that I am part of. I can access these on my desktop and online without an issue. The problem I have is that if I am trying to access these team folders through any other software, they are not visible following the upgrade on 20 April? This is causing major issues and I assume that there is a setting that needs to be changed for me and my colleagues? Any thoughts would be appreciated.5.3KViews1like15CommentsI sent an invite for others to join my Dropbox team, but they don't get the email.
Hello, I tried sending invites to my team members but they haven't received any emails. We checked our spam and tried searching for emails from Dropbox to no avail. We signed up for the Dropbox Business Plus plan for 4 team members. We wanted to try out the free trial before signing up. Does the free trial prevent invites?13Views0likes1CommentWe already paid for our Business plan, but now we're being asked to pay again.
Hello Dropbox Support Team and Community, We are experiencing a critical issue with our Dropbox business account that urgently needs resolution. Less than a month ago, we encountered a problem with adding a payment method to our account. After considerable effort, this was resolved, and on November 23, our credit card was successfully charged, extending our account through 2025. However, despite this confirmed payment, our account has now suddenly been blocked, and we are being prompted to pay again. Additionally, we have found it impossible to get in touch with Dropbox support through any direct channels. This situation is completely unacceptable as our business relies heavily on Dropbox for its daily workflow, and this disruption has brought our operations to a standstill. We urgently need our account access restored without any further charges, and we also request a proposal from Dropbox to compensate for the impact this has caused to our business. Dropbox team, please treat this matter with utmost priority. We need immediate assistance to resolve this issue. Thank you in advance. Sam - The ProductioneersCannot delete folder that was transferred to me when another user left the "Advanced" account.
Our plan is Dropbox Advanced (for a team of 12). When a team member left, their shared files were transferred to me to organize. Everything has been since deleted or copied elsewhere from these files, and yet there is one empty folder that will not delete. When I look at the permissions on the folder, I am the owner and it is shared with no one else. But when I try to delete the folder, I just leave the "Shared" folder rather than it being deleted. Is there a way to remove this empty folder from our files?249Views0likes4CommentsHow user-friendly is Dropbox on web, and how seamless is your collaboration with your team?
