No basic plan or download for foreigners?
Hi there. Seems like a basic question but couldn't find any info. A friend is sending videos from overseas, they're longer than 5 minutes so that ruled out most apps. We tried Google Drive but there's noticeable compression happening to the videos. Dropbox is the next big name I could think of but there does not appear to be a basic free version for my friend. Quite frankly, the fee is reasonable so we don't mind paying but I just want to make sure this is right. He's downloaded from, presumably, a Thai version of the Apple Store, and downloaded a Thai version of Dropbox. I even tried to let him sign in to my account but it says wrong password, it's like we both have something totally different from each other. If this is standard we will just go through with the Plus option for him.

It almost certainly sounds like he has downloaded an incorrect app/scam app. Basic is available everywhere so he can get that. He just needs to sign up.
Get him to go to www.dropbox.com/downloading to do it.
I'd also suggest changing your password just to be on the safe side.
