How to change from business to personal account?

Hi,
I accidentally chose to have a 'business' account but since I mostly use it for personal matters I would like to convert it to a personal account?

Do you know how to do that? I have both a business and personal account which I therefore need to convert my business to a personal account.

  • Yes. You can downgraded your account by contacting dropbox support by email, they will help you. I've succeeded downgrade my business into personal and get my money refund

I have the same issue... My personal account became the business account and my business account is my personal account. I had over 8 gig of space in my "original personal account" so I want that to stay my personal account... Any suggestions on how to contact an admin to have these switched...

As Ed says, if you want to switch which account is personal and which is business, you can switch the email addresses.

If you want to revert your business account back to a personal account (for example, you wish to discontinue the trial) its a two step process:

    1. First cancel the Business account, and turn it back into a Team account (https://help.dropbox.com/billing/cancel-subscription)

    2. Leave the Team and convert it back into a Personal account (https://help.dropbox.com/business/cancelled-became-free-team)

I have the same problem. Help please! I think I'd rather give up on this 'trial' and revert back to just having my personal dropbox with my 18gig

Still have this issue and didn't want to this to get lost! Has anyone received feedback from Dropbox on how to fix this issue?

I have the same problem as well. Accidentally changed my original Personal folder to Business. Hopefully Dropbox will respond to this issue.

    I had the same problem.

Just erase and / or sign out of the team folder. This will make your business account a personal again, w/o having to change your email

    Hi Ed,

Thank you for your quick reply! But it is not about signing in but changing the account to a personal (maybe in settings or so). I cannot figure out how to. Maybe I need to contact Dropbox?

    Best regards,
