Collaborators are made to believe they need to pay for a plan when creating their Dropbox account.

Hi - I recently asked a number of friends to provide feedback on some articles I'm writing, using Dropbox Paper.

Unfortunately, the majority of them refused to help. The signup flow makes them think they have to enter a trial using a credit card number, in order to collaborate with me.

This flow here shows a typical experience

Hi davehk, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

As we can't access external links, could you copy and paste the information in your next reply?

Additional, how would the process be simplified in your opinion?

This will help me to assist further!

how would I like the process to be simplified?
Make it a single-click for an invited person to pass through your authentication and land on my doc.
    1. receive the email
    2. open the email and read it
    3. click on the link to the document <= this
    4. land in the document, ready to edit or view as the case may be.

Thanks for all the details and screenshots you’ve provided, davehk! They’re truly appreciated.

Everything has been passed on to our team as feedback and they’ll take this into consideration.

For anything else, feel free to give us a nudge!
