Volunteering for multiple not for profit organisations - Multiple folder synching
Hi there, I'm a newbie Dropbox user. I'm working for two different not for profit organisations on a volunteer basis (I'll call them NFP1 and NFP2). I'm using Dropbox Basic (free). I already have ...

Thank you Nancy. Yes, you have it right. I wanted to be able to manage folders and files for the two different NFPs and my own personal files from the same PC at the same time. It seems that this requires me to be logged into multiple Dropbox accounts at the same time. Is that correct? Therefore I wouldn't be able to log in to the NFP1 Dropbox account, share or synch files/folders, then logout of NFP1 and log in to the NFP2 account to share or syn files/folders. Is that correct?

Hi Liz WY
I'm afraid what you'd like to do isnt possible.
You can link a max. of 2 accounts at the same time to one device IF one of those has a paid for Dropbox for Business licence. If they arent then you need to either use one on the computer/devices and the other web only.

OK thank you, Mark. I guess I'll try working that way then - web only for NFP2. And I can definitely share that web space with other invitees who can work on their own PCs/phones as long as they're not using Dropbox for any anything else (for any other account)? If they do, I guess we would all have to work web only for NFP2?

So each person needs their own account (it is against the T&C's to share it which could result in permanent deletion of the account and loss of data if not followed). Then you share a folder between each person. The space for each user uses up their own quota. So, as long as they don't use the account for anything else they shouldn't have issues, but, if they also use it for personal stuff they could.

OK, thank you. I think we'll just have to try it and see how we get on! Thanks again.
