Virustotal detected W32.AIDetect.malware2 in dropbox.exe
Hi,
Virustotal detected W32.AIDetect.malware2 in dropbox.exe:
Any idea why this is?
- Could you try deleting the installer and downloading it again?
- JayDropbox StaffHi rouhmaen, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Looking at the list, it's possible that this was a false positive by that antivirus vendor, since the official app shouldn't have any viruses on it.
Are you experiencing this issue on your device specifically?
This will help me to assist further! - rouhmaenExplorer | Level 3
No, I haven't installed it yet.
I've downloaded it directly from Dropbox. MD5 is A3D3D25CE163B0EC39B4A7E64F2005D4

July 22, 2022 - I'm also seeing this detection in VirusTotal. I've tried multiple times today to download the dropbox installer and VirusTotal reports two. I delete it and retry. Each time I get these two errors. Here are the sha256 hashes generated by certutil -hashfile:

I will try using a different browser (Edge)
