Moved to "D" drive from "C" but ¨Dropbox folder location¨ still shows C:\Users\Dropbox as location
Hello,
I have moved Dropbox from the C drive to the D drive (because my C drive is too small). However, the Dropbox files still appear in the C drive, which I know can be solved by following the suggestions made in the following thread.
¨Moved to "D" drive from "C" but files are still on C drive.¨
I still did not follow the steps suggested in that thread, but I will.
The problem I am concerned about is that when I hoover over the Dropbox App and go to ¨Preferences¨ and then to ¨Sync¨ I see that ¨Dropbox folder location¨ still shows C:\Users\Osiri\Dropbox as the location. This is surprising since I moved it to the D dive more than a month ago. I was expecting to see ¨Dropbox folder location¨ to be D:\Users\Osiri\Dropbox.
Why is ¨Dropbox folder location¨ still showing C:\Users\Osiri\Dropbox as the location?
Thank you for considering my case,
Osiris
Thanks for the screenshots osiris jorge p.
It seems that the Dropbox folder wasn't properly moved in the first place. Can you try the move button in the app's preferences and point to your D drive?
If you end up with multiple Dropbox folders, you'll need to confirm which one is the syncing one and then delete the others.
Keep me posted on your progress!

Hey osiris jorge p., sorry to hear you're having issues with this.
Could you please confirm that you've followed these steps to move your Dropbox folder?
Thanks!

Hi Walter,
Thank you for your prompt and kind response. I moved Dropbox more than one month ago and so I do not remember the exact steps I made. Out of the seven steps mentioned in the link you mentioned I am sure I did steps 2 to 6, but now I do not remember about the steps 1 and 7. However, I was following the steps suggested by a Dropbox help page that I think it is exactly the same as the one you just mentioned. Given that I am usually extremely careful in following such steps, my strong guess is that I did follow these seven steps.
Thanks again,
Osiris- WalterDropbox Staff
Can you have a look locally at your computer and let us know if you see two different Dropbox folders or just one, Osiris?
A screenshot of how it looks like on your end along with the app's exact status as shown in your system tray would also help!
