Memory Usage - even when Dropbox is doing nothing
Hi, i have been using Dropbox for years and i am very satisfied.
I was noticing that Dropbox uses a relative high amout of memory even when the application was doing nothing.
My Dropbox-folder contains 667 files and 100 folders using 574MB.
This article high-cpu-usage mentions reasons for high CPU/RAM usage, but 1/4 GB of memory when doing nothing and a low number of files - is that ok ?
I spotted this behaviour when investigation the same issue with Microsoft Teams - Teams - High memory usage
Below is a screenshot of my joblist.
Any opinions on this behaviour ?

- LusilDropbox StaffHi there Jens_sap, let's see what we can find.
Could you check how many files you have syncing in your Dropbox folder?
Also, have you noticed the activity increase when other third party apps are running as well, like any security software or antivirus?
Give me a shout whenever you have a moment to check this out, thanks!- Jens_sapExplorer | Level 4
Hi there.
As stated in my first message my Dropbox folder holds now 660 files in 99 folders (did a little clean up yesterday)
Antivirus/Security is from Cisco and it also takes a lot of ressources, but nothing compared to Chrome and the abominable Teams :-)
I have attached a fresh shot fom today when the pc is almost idle.
No scannings are active.
- LusilDropbox StaffOut of curiosity, is there another OS profile that you could check this out on?

Same problem here... What was the solution to the problem finally? - Seems more users have his problem, also on other OSses when I browse this forum...
