I cannot install the desktop app on Linux Fedora 37
Gnome 43 has removed
libnautilus-extension.so.1
making it impossible to install Dropbox on Fedora 37. Please update the rpm installer to make use of the changes in gnome 43.

We've spoken to our team, and they've told us that they're aware of a caching issue that causes that endpoint to return invalid 404 errors. They're currently working on a fix for this, but in the meantime, retrying the link should work.
We also recommend clearing your cache before retrying, as this can assist with some common errors.

I understand why Dropbox effectively dropped support for GNOME 43: Fedora users are a small portion of Dropbox's customer base.
However, I need clarification on why Dropbox will not offer a pro-rated refund. I spent the past hour chatting with Apple and Dropbox customer support agents, each pointing his finger at the other. I bought an annual Dropbox subscription on my iPhone. I am past the 90-day window when Apple grants a refund, and Dropbox refuses a refund because I paid via my iPhone. The Dropbox customer support agent was as helpful as he could be but lacked the tools to grant a refund. If the number of GNOME 43 users is too small to support, then offering pro-rated refunds on annual subscriptions should be easy.
Just a clarification,
Dropbox is working on fedora 37, the files are synching as usual, but the dropbox-nautilus is not working, so we cannot see the checkmarks on the new nautilus, but any change in the folder is reflected on the server. Actually, fedora 37 repo has the dropbox api and dropbox.noarch and it installs without issuses. I still can see the dropbox icon on my desktop and I can execute all the normal operations.

Which repository are you talking about? Official fedora repositories never had a package containing the dropbox daemon as far as I can tell.

Rpm Fusion had a dropbox package but dropped it because of missing support for gtk4, from what it looks like https://github.com/rpmfusion/nautilus-dropbox
This works quite the same for me, only I have dropbox (daemon?) installed as a flatpak. Files sync to the server but the desktop integration is not available. So the basic functionality of dropbox is there: file storage, sharing and accessing across devices work. But the UX downgraded a *lot* (and I'm using very soft words here).
Do you mean dropbox-api-command? I think that's this, a CLI client: https://github.com/s-aska/dropbox-api-command.
I don't see anything in the Fedora repo that will keep a directory synced with Dropbox.

Megan, can you let yendrrek know how you have installed Dropbox application through official Dropbox repository on a fresh Fedora 37? 😉 Step by step walkthrough would be much more clear! By the way... did you do it actually? 🧐🤔 If no, try it and let us know how it goes. 🙂 Please!
