Hi BD_CSB, thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you try quitting and restarting the Dropbox desktop application?
I'd also recommend rebooting the entire machine as well to see if this helps.
Keep me updated with any progress!

This might be the PUSH i've needed to migrate everything over to my Synology Device exclusively - especially now that they are offering their new cloud backup option which scales amazingly well! i've been a PRO dropbox Business paying customer for a decade - even though I had my synology - but the "EASE OF USE" was worth it for delivering thousands of photos to clients every year -
however lately, clients are fed up with the constant "Switching" them over to view one of my links only to get a message saying "YOUR DROPBOX IS FULL"they now make it so hard for people to simply VIEW the files of account-holders. It's quite difficult to send a link out without a client saying "it keeps asking me to make an account"
what happened to the OLD dropbox philosophies?- donwright2 years agoHelpful | Level 6
Is it just me or do any of you guys remember back when you could use dropbox to EASILY and painlessly send 100 High res photos to a customer for proofing or delivery, and it was smooth, with no hiccups . . . . ??

what happened to the OLD dropbox philosophies?I almost lost 2 customers last week because they were in a hurry to download their goods from a shoot 2 years ago, and they absolutely had a nightmare of a time both on their ipad, and their friends desktop computer . . . granted they are not the most tech savvy but they've been receiving files from me using dropbox for 10+ years. . . . .

however lately, clients are fed up with the constant "bait & switch" to view one of my links only to get a message saying "YOUR DROPBOX IS FULL" - they then try to sign out of their free account, and do it again, but it AUTOLOGINS . . . . through the APP on their phone .
So I then suggest deleting the app, removing their login info from their browsers, and I then, have to CHANGE MY ENTIRE organization structure by moving their assets to PUBLIC folder - - - I even have to tell them the tricks like "change the 1 at the end of the link to a ZERO" (which is now the only way we were able to solve this debacle"

Hey,
Thanks for the reply.
The issue has existed since getting this machine new last March.
Many reboots and restarts of the program since then.
Issue persists.

Thanks for clarifying that for us BD_CSB
Could you also let us know the app's version and status as shown in your taskbar?
Also, have you tried reinstalling the app since you first noticed this?

Hi,
I have those entries too. This is not a one user issue, it's a "feature" of your desktop client. I wonder why the people at support don't know that this is not an error, but something embedded into the software.
Please, correct it or, at least, tell us how to consolidate the Dropbox entries, because this is ridiculous and quite annoying to have all those options (many of them duplicated) bloating the context menu.
Fix this ASAP, please.
