Camera Upload says new photos "have already been imported"

I have been using the "Camera Upload" feature for downloading photos from my iPhone to my Dropbox on my MacBook. 99% of the time it works great. For the past few weeks I get a message that says "All 631 photos from Justin's iPhone11 have already been imported", but I have at least 30 new photos.

I have tried restarting my phone, my computer, Dropbox, turning on/off the camera uploads checkbox in Settings.

No luck at all.

Any ideas on this?

Thank you

You can clear the Dropbox app’s cache by opening your mobile app, and going to the Account tab > gear icon on the top right corner. The option to clear the cache is further down the page.

You can reinstall the app just on your iPhone, since the photos should be automatically uploaded from there.

Welcome to our forum, jbest101! Let’s have a look.

If you add a file to your iPhone now, and check your Dropbox account again a bit later, can you see it uploaded, or no new files appear at all?

Also, if you happen to encounter the same message again, I’d like a screenshot of it.

What you can also try is to clear the Dropbox app’s cache, and reinstall it on your mobile device.

Let me know, if any of that helps.

      Thanks for the reply!

It does happen when I take a new photo and try to sync. No new photos in my folder. Oddly enough, the number of photos in the message changes too.

Here is a screenshot of the message.

Hoping you can help get this solved.

Thanks for the screenshot! Did you also try my suggestion to clear the Dropbox cache, and reinstall the app? If yes, did it seem to help a bit?
