Unable to upload 250 GB from WIN11 laptop both from web and desktop app
I pay for Dropbox Plus and have heaps of cloud space to upload to.
Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to upload a 250GB folder whether I use the website or the Desktop APP.
Am I missing something fundamental or is 250GB over a limit.
It's driving me nuts.

On the Desktop App I copy the 250GB folder from D: drive on my laptop, (it has two drives), to the Dropbox folder on C: .
It comes up with the message:
"There is not enough space on Windows. You need an additional 207GB to copy these files. " The C: drive currently only has approx. 58GB space.
I didn't think Dropbox folder on Desktop Dropbox required the same size as the folder I'm trying to upload.
If this has confused you, imagine how I feel.
To summarise... I would like to upload a 250GB Folder from my D: drive to my Dropbox cloud, (plenty of space), whichever way I can. (if possible).- RichSuper User II

It absolutely does. The Dropbox folder on your computer is just a regular folder like any other. Any files you copy or move into it take up space on your local drive. After a file has finished syncing you can set it to Online-only to reclaim that space, but the file needs to first exist on the drive so it can sync, before you set it to Online-only.

You'll either need to make room on your C: drive so you can place the file in your Dropbox folder so it can sync, upload it through the website if the file does not exceed 250GB exactly, or use something like dbxcli (unofficial, not supported) to upload the file from your D: drive directly to your account online.
