My Dropbox account is not syncing to my work PC or iPhone, why?
I am creating files on my home PC and saving them to Dropbox. When I try access them on my work PC they are not in the folder. My subscription is up to date and my syncing says all the files are up to date (on my work PC). The same problem is happening with my iPhone. So basically, none of my "boxes" are seeing one another????
Uploading images/videos from iPhone resets the name to today's date instead of its creation date
Hello Dear Dropbox-Team, I find it very useful that Dropbox changes the names of my images and videos to this uniform format "[Foto|Video] DD.MM.YY, HH MM SS.[jpg|png|mp4|...]" when I upload them from my iPhone using the client. For example, my image named "IMG_1234" will be named "Foto 01.01.20, 12 59 55". This helps me a ton to organise my images/videos on a separate drive by sorting by name, since the date is embedded in the filename. Unfortunately, this does not work for all images. After uploading some of my images, the creation date is reset to today's date, which breaks this organisation system. I have not changed the metadata on these images, but it still happens. Is there a way to make the naming convention consistent, propably with a fix? Thank you in advance for answering my question 🙂
Photos and videos display on wrong date on my iOS device
I have an issue where some of my videos and photos have been auto uploaded from my iPhone they have the correct date (2016 08) as the file name. But in my photo display as today’s date 2024 10 31, when you look at information on the files they also show the correct date. So why are these image showing in year 2024 month October? They should be 2016 in May (which the majority of the images and photos taken at the same time do).
Why do files on my mobile app not match those on the desktop machine?
Half the time when I edit a file, then save it on my desktop machine, it doesn't sync to my tablet or phone. I get a version of the file that is 8 hours old, or sometimes older. This is a serious drawback...a major flaw IMHO...for a system that purports to share files. There should be a prominent button in the tablet or phone Dropbox application that forces a sync to the latest version of a file. Why is this functionality missing? Thank you.
JPG images uploading from my iPhone 11 to Dropbox as PDFs
All of my JPG images in Dropbox on my laptop have converted to PDFs and are uploading as PDFs from my phone. On the Dropbox app on my phone the images are still JPGs. Can anyone tell me the setting to convert everything back and have my uploads remain in JPG format? Adobe won't even let me open the PDFS saying I have to upgrade to Pro!"Upload couldn't be completed" error when uploading a .mov 46 GB file from the iOS app
i recorded a podcast on my iphone but when i try to upload it on the dropbox app so i have it on my pc to edit, i keep getting the same error saying the upload couldn't be completed and that the file may have been deleted. any help would be greatly appreciated!
