Access to Email Addresses of File Request Responders
As the owner of a Dropbox folder for which I sent a file request, is there a way for me to access the email addresses of those who have uploaded files to the folder in response to the file request. ...
- 7 years agoHey LED1!There isn’t currently a way to locate the email address of those that uploaded a file via a file request, as you are only able to see their username or the name that they submit when uploading the file, along with the file name and type. However, if you are an admin of a Business plan, you may be able to see who received a file request from the activity report from the Admin console.I hope this helped to some extent.

So do you know when it will be possible to get responders' emails? This question was being asked for a couple of years now, and nothing changes. Isn't it a bit silly to ask for email addresses and never make them available? The developers should either stop asking for addresses or share them with request owner.

Hi emakarov!
Although there isn’t a timeline to share, I’m more than happy to forward your comments along to the dev team for consideration.
If you have any other thoughts or comments, let me know. In the mean time, have a wonderful day ahead! :grinning:
- LED17 years agoHelpful | Level 5Yes, please do ask the developers to make the email address of responders to file requests available to the requester.

Yes. This information is requested not only by us but also by our customers whom we serve.
- Nothingelse4u2do5 years agoExplorer | Level 4it's been 5 years that Dropbox offers the feature of File Request... and still nothing was done yet to receive the responder email... this is a serious issue that affect productivity.... we get files and photos from customers... and we have no idea who they come from or how to contact them. Dropbox needs to wake up and be sensitive to its customers need
