Dropbox backup says syncing 75,000 files but i don't have that many, constantly going up

Hi i'm trying to backup my external hard drive to dropbox backup. It's constantly going up and the time doesn't change. I've reinstalled & relinked, deleted old backups. But nothing has seemed to help with the issue. The file count just keeps going up
