dropbox business
68 TopicsI have an issue accessing my files as they're greyed out. Can you help?
I tried to upload a video to Dropbox yesterday and ever since I cannot even view my files/folders via my laptop. I cannot even write a ticket to support. the only link on the site that leads me anywhere is the dropbox business link (kind of ironic that you can ALWAYS upgrade). To explain further, I cannot even see file folders, just grey rectangles. I CAN save things to dropbox via ny laptop AND I can access my files with my phone and the dropbox app but not through my laptop. I'll spare you my rant about writing tickets being the only means of communication available. Any ideas, I'd appreciate the help?Solved16KViews0likes9Commentsturn off Dropbox advertising prompts?

I've just upgraded from free accounts to Dropbox Business. My team had access to some shared folders and we use a 3rd party iPad app (Documents by Readdle) to sync the folders and display the content. - We have heavy PDF usage and the way Dropbox app on iOS changes pages on a PDF isn't suitable (scrolling rather than viewing page at a time). So as I have logged in to Dropbox through the 3rd party App (Documents) I find that it will only show my one personal folder and not display any of the shared business folders. Photo below is the dropbox app on iOS - personal folder in purple is the only folder that shows through to Documents app once linked. It won't show any of the 4 other business folders. k documents app syncs to dropbox via app login but then comes back and returns only the folders in the first 'personal' folder that I have. I've tried several other iOS apps - PDF Expert (also by Readdle), Polaris Office, WPS Office - all have the same sync issues. The iOS 'Files' app shows all the folders properly - BUT it doesn't display PDFs the way I need them to. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. I changed over not realising this would be an issue and I'm going to have HUGE issues if my team can't show PDFs properly to clients tomorrow.Solved8.5KViews0likes13Commentssync only one folder on linux
I have a huge dropbox business account, and I'd like to sync one "deep" folder on a linux client. This folder is deep in the folder hierarchy, so for example the folder: "folder 1/folder 2/folder 3" is the ONLY one I want downloaded to the linux client. I tried: dropbox.py exclude add * ; dropbox.py exclude remove 'folder 1/folder 2/folder 3' and various permutations of that, but I always still end up with: dropbox.py exclude list Excluded: folder 1 What's the magical set of commands I need to issue to exclude everything - except one deep folder? Or, do I need to create local paths for this deep folder on the client first?8.4KViews0likes23CommentsIs Dropbox on web slow and fails often on you?

Has anyone run into an issue with being unable to view any deleted files in the trash can? It's been 1 week since I upgraded to Dropbox business and since day 1, when I click on the trash can I see a spinning circle. No files display at all. I opened a support ticket which is going on day 6 with no current resolution. Dropbox is looking into the issue but I wanted to know if anyone in the community has experienced this problem. It seems very odd to have the problem after upgrading from Dropbox pro.Solved7.3KViews0likes5CommentsSmart Sync Not Showing Up on Windows 11
Hi! I am on Windows 11 and have a Dropbox Business account. The Issue: I cannot see the option when I right click a file, to Smart Sync > Local or Online Only I do see this option on my MacBook Pro. I did see the option on my PC earlier this week, I do not see it now. In an effort to troubleshoot my issue, I just install and reinstall Dropbox app on the PC. The problem remains. The options I see when I right click a file are Dropbox > - Share - View in Dropbox - Copy Dropbox Link - Version History - Send with Dropbox History Any insight is appreciated. Thanks!Solved5.8KViews1like14CommentsHow to get the current folder structure Dropbox for Business
Hello Dropbox community, I am currently new in an organization and they wanted me to audit the current Dropbox folder structure that they have. One of the requirements that they asked me is to generate a report: 1. All Files and Folders created, owned and shared by the team. 2. To whom were these files was shared. Would there be any easy way to generate this report in Dropbox? Intention is to check current setup/structure that they have from that report we would come up on how to improve and organize our data. Hi We have a business account with several Tb of data, and as an Admin on our account I have been asked to provide a download/backup of all folders and files to an external drive (this is something we are going to do annually). Hello, when I started my 3 TB DropBox business trial last month I was under the impression I would be able to back up all my photos (over 1 TB) from my iMac desktop computer (not from my iPhone, which only holds a fraction of my photos). I have searched endlessly, please help. System: iMac desktop/OS Mojave 10.14.6. My photos library is located: Macintosh HD > users > home (my name) > Pictures (folder) > Photos Library. I also have other folders of photos that are not in Mac photos in there. See snapshot below: What I am doing: I am going to DropBox on the top bar of my computer > to my icon > preferences > backups > manage backup. Photos/Pictures is not a folder option. The only options are: Desktop, Documents, Downloads, Music, and Movies. I also tried going to my icon > preferences > sync > choose folders, and I get the same options I just mentioned above. I appreciate any and all assistance. Thank you kindly. LTDTMSolved3.9KViews2likes7Comments
