I have a ticket in but I need help it's been over a day. Long story short when I updated my Mac yesterday it moved files from shared folders to a copy of it with the end saying "my name conflicted copy date". I'd like to know if I can rewind either the original or the copy so that the files go back to the correct place. I've already disconnected Dropbox from my desktop. How do I cancel a rewind request? I accidentally requested a file to rewind on my external hard drive backup instead of my main dropbox folder. How do I stop the rewind? It started syncing and changing my last backup of my external drive! I unplugged the external drive to keep it from doing the rewind but I can't figure out how to cancel the rewind (not pause it). See screenshot below. At the bottom it says everything is up to date. It's what's going on at the top that I need to stop. The far left number (114.03 GB) keeps decreasing which tells me it's deleting files. Hello, I’ve got a big problem. First of all, sorry for my english. I’m a very early user of Dropbox, since 2009, one of the first users. After a basic account, I upgraded during two years for an account with the «packrat». Understand that at this period, this «packrat» option gave us the possibility to restore deleted files and older version of files with no limit of time. (sort of infinite "dropbox rewind" if we should compare to today naming). At the end of 2011, Dropbox told me that as one of the first members, my account (30 Go with packrat) would be from there free and I would be put on a special list. So from 2011 to this day, during 10 years, I’ve been able to restore all my deleted files that have been stored and deleted with no limit of time. Just by searching them in the search bar, the old deleted files was always found and shown to be restored. I’ve used since 2011 my dropbox to store many work files, and I took this habit to use my dropbox as a sort of hard drive. But today, for the first time, I can’t find my past files. I’m really scared that the dropbox team have mistaken my account for a basic account and sort of downgrade it, so that all my deleted files that I could restore from 2009 have been permanently deleted. we have 5 groups that share files. one of them completely dumped all its folders at the same time and this is the message in the ActivityUnshared file/folder by clearing membership. How do I undo what has been done to get my files back? I have all Dropbox Business accounts and this should not be able to happen. Hi, I was notified of a mass deletion on our shared folder today that we did not initiate. Our entire team folder has been deleted without warning and without our knowledge. Activity states that is was done by the Team Admin (which is me) and Dropbox (as a member). None of the files can be restored through the GUI and I’m getting no response from Dropbox on the matter. This is the worst service I have ever witnessed. The shared folder in question was also removed and then somehow recreated since the empty shared folder states it was created today on the day of deletion. While the actual shared folder is over 3 years old and contained all our team data! So something or someone has deleted those files and then recreated the same folder. None of my staff members have done so and we see no indication of a breach since all of our access happens through a SSO and MFA. Since the fake team folder is created today there is no option to rewind since there is no history! I can see the folder being deleted in my activity yet I have no way of restoring it. Hello! Two days ago a member of our team accidentally deleted most of the shared folders in our Business account. Therefore we are now using Dropbox Rewind to rewind back to the day before this happened. However, it seems to be taking awefully long, even for a relatively small folder.
