Files not syncing in Window explorer
Hi, I can't seem to get File Explorer to sync. It used to sync automatically but now it is not. I've logged onto the Dropbox page and tried to download the app and that doesn't seem to do anything. I have created a folder on drop box app for my upcoming holidays called "2022 Trip." When I log onto my computer (using windows) I can't find it in my file explorer. They seem to be out of sync. I've read the forums about syncing but I can't see a sync function or menu or button to do this. I've logged onto the drop box web page and tried to find it in settings but can't. I am on the basic free access and still have space. Please help. I'm not very computer savy and I've read through all the community pages but can't see my problem listed.
How to remove the red unread icon in the Windows 11 taskbar?
Using Microsoft Edge on a Windows 11 X64 PC I tried to follow the Help Center information related to Unread notifications, but the proposed solution is not the same as what I see when I run through the steps. I give a more detailed explanation of what I see, which is very different from what the article suggests. Running Win11 X64. When I click on the Dropbox icon on the taskbar, where the red number 1 notification is displayed, I do not see an avatar (profile picture or initials) in the the top-right corner, or anywhere else. The only info. displayed is a list of files and folders synced, an indicator that reads "Your files are up to date", with an option to pause sync for 30 minutes, 1 hour, Until tomorrow or Indefinitely. Lastly there is an Upgrade button. This has been displayed constantly for at least the last 6 months, and I am now trying to find a resolution. Thank you for any advice.
Is there a way to set the Dropbox folder via the command line?
Hi Dropbox HUGELY EXASPERATING -- NO WAY TO MOVE / SET THE DROPBOX ON-PC FILE LOCN ON COMMAND LINE INSTALLS #Dropbox - presuming you are here, WHY am I having to ask the Community to help with such an OBVIOUS NEED ?????????? #### YOU SHOULD FIX THIS, DROPBOX -- IT'S BEEN OVERLOOKED FOR YEARS. SORT IT OUT PLEASE - TODAY WOULD BE GOOD. This will take a decent programmer in your offices *20mins tops to document*. PROBLEM: THE HEADLESS DROPBOX - IDEAL FOR MANY LINUXES ****HAS NO WAY TO RELOCATE THE STORAGE FOLDER***** On Win / Mac / Ubuntu there's a GUI - but for the hundreds of other Linux situations, and most servers, WE USE COMMAND LINE -- but you FORCE US to put the synch folder in the most obviously idiotic place - under home. And moving it is then IMPOSSIBLE it seems.
