11 TopicsHELP! Mistyped email address
Can anybody help me? I'm in an inception-type situation. I recently purchased an HP All-In-One PC desktop with a free dropbox 100 GBs so I signed up, but it was very late at night and I mistyped my email address during the signup. I might have even already put in my credit card information (I don't remember because it was very late). Dropbox let me sign up anyway without verifying my email!! This turns out to be very problematic. So now I can't change my email login to Dropbox because I've never verified that email to begin with because obviously I can't get into that wrong email as I don't own it. I can't even talk to the Dropbox CHATBOT because you need a verified email. How do I contact Dropbox so my card doesn't get charged? I already even sent them a help request via form on the website and gave them all the details and my correct email address, and Dropbox support never replied. This is a mess 😞 Does anybody have any ideas?2.6KViews0likes18CommentsAccount access
I have two Dropbox accounts. One is free, and the other is a two or 5TB data storage (I pay A$18.69 monthly). I was in my paid account earlier today when I noticed that some files I had deleted through Windows File Manager were still appearing in my Dropbox account. I checked to see that I was in the correct account, and it was the correct paid account. So, I thought I should log out and log in again. I put in the normal username and email address and the normal password, but it directed me to the personal free account. I also thought if I did a password reset, it might take me to the paid account. No success. Nothing in the robot support system is helping me. I desperately need to access the files from the paid account. Given that I am paying for a Dropbox service, surely there must be a way to communicate with that service provider. If anyone can assist, I would be so grateful. RussellSolved1.5KViews0likes11CommentsI've been billed for an account I can't access - how to get in contact with the support team?
Hi, I have been billed for an account I can´t access and since I can´t access the account I can not get any help from the billing team? It feels like I am stuck in limbo at the dropbox webpage together with the little chatbot. Does anyone know how I can get in contact with a real life person at dropbox?459Views0likes7CommentsWhen I logged in, my account was Basic, why?
I have been using a personal Dropbox for more than a year. I use it every week, and I have a lot of content stored. Today when I log it, it takes me to the create a new user screen? I pay my $11.99 every month. Why is my login not working?334Views0likes1CommentI'm being billed for a Dropbox account I can't access, since I can't receive the one-time code
Hello, Around 1.5 years ago I lost access to an email a/c due to a company changing ownership. I've since learned that I've been charged monthly for DropBox linked to this email. I know the password, but when I try and log in I get emailed a code which I obviously cannot access. I have tried contacting Dropbox but nothing back. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!266Views0likes1CommentMy old account is gone - now, I can only log in to a new empty account.
I opened the app this morning and was asked to create a new account. I decided to try to logon through my web browser and was able to log in only to find a trial account and no files. When I check my event history I see that this is a new account. How can I get back in to my upgraded account? It is not a shared access account, so I don't believe anyone could lock me out. I've tried to contact customer support, but it won't work. Thanks262Views0likes3CommentsI can't access my mother's account, even though I'm getting billed, and I can't reach support.
Dropbox should really review their policies and access to customer service. My mother had a dropbox account. Both my parents died last year and I changed the billing to my credit card so it would keep their dropbox account active so I could access and eventually recover all their digital photos. I have let some months pass before I had the time to go transfer all the files. I don't have access to the email for her dropbox account any longer and thus cannot log in (two factor auth). Because I dont have a dropbox account, I cant access any customer service or get help. Because dropbox has a policy of not allowing phone or email contact I have literally no way of resolving to get access to her account any longer. But, they charged me anyway. I cant even get into the account or contact anyone at dropbox to stop the charges. Not having any way to contact a company for help is a ridiculous way to operate.233Views0likes1Comment
