Dropbox Dash | What you need to know
Thank you for testing the Dropbox Dash beta and for joining this group. Any feedback you can share with us will be valuable to us as we continue to work on this experience. Please note: Dropbox early releases are subject to additional terms and conditions. This post will outline some of the changes you can expect to see in this beta release and what we are hoping to test. What to expect from the Dropbox Dash beta experience The Dropbox Dash beta experience is currently available to users who choose to opt-in. Dash connects with all your work tools including: Google Workspace, Microsoft Outlook, Salesforce, Notion and many more. You’ll have instant access to all the info you need to do your best work. With Dash, one search bar is all it takes to find exactly what you’re looking for. You can use Dropbox Dash by downloading the beta here. Dash is available as a desktop app and as a web browser plugin. Testing Goals We are testing a number of different things as part of this beta experience, but there are three key areas we want to focus on: Search: How easily users are able to find their content through the Dash search functionality, and how well the search works across various apps. Stacks: We want to evaluate how stacks are working for users to organise their links and content, along with any changes that could be made to improve the experience. Dash Starting Page: Similar to stacks, we want to determine how the dash starting page is assisting users, and providing them with useful recommendations of what they are working on next. Dash local files support
I really wanted to use Dash for local files support. And it totally disappeared. I would even further like it to be able to search also for Google Drive files as they appear on the local storage (even if they are online only). I really prefer to work with all files from local storage.Future Intergrations - Dropbox Dash
Do you anticipate integrations that would include the ability to add Click-Up, What's App, WeChat, Slack, and multiple Gmail & G-Drive accounts in future updates for Dropbox Dash? I do see the logos for a few of the above-mentioned on the Dropbox Dash page, but I did not see those options when linking my accounts. I'm excited to experiment with DP Dash features and hope that this might be a one-stop solution to centralize my many platforms into one space. I know it's new & in BETA still, but ultimately it's going to be hard to use if I am limited to searching only one linked Gmail & G-Drive.
