As Walter mentioned here, since we are actively working on full support for macOS 12.3, you may have trouble accessing online-only files in third party apps.

Dear Megan,
Thank you very much for your time and help, this is very much appreciated.
This is the version I run on my macbook pro: v150.4.5000
As for Indesign situation, yes it happens with all files. I can add that my colleagues have same problems on different devices, all under Monterey.

I received an e-mail from dropbox today pointing me to a software-update "Dropbox for macOS on File Provider."
https://help.dropbox.com/installs/dropbox-for-macos-support#:~:text=Dropbox%20for%20macOS%20on%20File,changes%20required%20by%20the%20API.
Not sure if this is appointed per account, or a general solution, but this certainly works like a charm.
