Linux Dropbox Certificate error

After installing dropbox proprietary (using dropbox_2020.03.04_amd64.deb) and python3-gpg on on Linux Mint the app fails with the following message. This means Dropbox doesn't work at all on Linux wh...

    Actually it was some issue with validating the Dropbox certificate (wget didn't work either). Re-installing ca-certificates and then reinstalling dropbox did the trick. If anyone else run in to the same problem here is what solved it for me:

    sudo apt install --reinstall ca-certificates
    sudo update-ca-certificates -f
