Cannot log in because browser cannot be updated

Good Morning,

I have recently been loaned a 2011 Macbook Pro from a family member. The laptop had not been used in several years. The OS was Sierra. Dropbox was installed but didn't work. I got a message that the minimum OS requirement is High Sierra. I upgraded to High Sierra. Dropbox still does not work because the browsers are too old (Google, Safari, Firefox) and cannot be upgraded to to the OS version.

I can have access if I go through Yahoo but prefer to go directly from Dropbox, Google or Apple. What is the best solution?

Hey Gerardus, thanks for reaching out to our Community.

High Sierra is the minimum system requirement for the Dropbox desktop app to work correctly, so the website is not connected to that.

For the website to work correctly, your browsers need to be updated too.

What do you see when you go to dropbox.com, can you send us a screenshot?

Dropbox was already installed. It cannot be opened nor downloaded because the browsers Safari, Google and Firefox are too old and cannot be updated. I can however use Yahoo to open Dropbox.
