Paywall blocks shared files

I iamb taking a class and have a free drop box account since the teacher drops all the shared files in dropbox folders. Until recently I was able to” view.” All content on my phone but now, when I click on the folder, a pay wall comes up I decline the pay wall, and then I click on the folder, and the pay wall comes up again. The cycle continues bottom line as I am not able to view shared folders from my iPhone 13 anymore after using it for an entire year with no problems. Can you help?

Do you have enough space in your account to hold everything in the share? If the shared folder contains more data than your account can hold, you won't be able to access the folder without upgrading.

Can you provide a screenshot of the message you're receiving, just to make sure this is the issue that you're facing?

Thank you for getting back to me. I’ve been using the shared files for over a year and I have very little space, I don’t need to store it in my Dropbox., but I only need to view her shared files I don’t need to store them myself before the Paywall ad up I had a choice to “ view only” I so don’t see an option to send you a screenshot. Can you help with this so I can send you a screenshot? Thank you

Hey Raven9! Hope it’s OK to jump in.

In this case, you can perhaps ask your teacher to share a link with you instead, so that you can view those files without adding them to your Dropbox account, which would take up storage from it.

You can check more details on shared links here

If you have any questions on the feature, you can always ping me.
