If I remove myself from a shared Dropbox folder, will the files I added to that folder disappear?
If I remove myself from a shared Dropbox folder, will the files I added to that folder disappear? I no longer work with a business and want to remove myself from the folders they shared with me. But I added a lot of the files in those folders from my account, so I want to make sure when I permanently remove myself I'm not inadvertently affecting any of the files within the folders?
Thanks!
Hi Gotham, thanks for posting on the Community!
If you remove yourself from the shared folder, then the files in that folder will remain.
You won't have access to them any more, and the folder would be deleted from your account and machine, but it will remain accessible for everyone else.
Hope this helps to clarify matters!
