I shared a link with people who don't have Dropbox accounts, but they're still prompted to sign in.

Was hoping someone could help me with this please.   I've followed the instructions - but recipients of an email with a "link" I've pasted into an email are still asked to sign into their account...

    Hello Jay,

    Many thanks for your reply - I really appreciate it.

    After posting my note to the community, I managed to figure out the problem:  I wasn't using the 'copy link' function correctly.

    So the way I resolved it was, from within the Dropbox online portal:
    1/   Click on share for the file I wanted to share;
    2/  Click on the 'copy link' option - right at the bottom of the dialogue box, ignoring the possibility of including an email address at the beginning of the dialogue box;
    3/  Open up an new message on Mail (on iMac) and paste in the link, into the body of the email.

    With this approach, the email recipient is directed straight to the opened PDF file.

    Going back over the original instructions, this accorded with the approach indicated.  It was the presence of fields to enter the recipients email address, before getting to the 'copy link' right at the bottom of the respective dialogue box, that was the mistake I made.

    So many thanks again for your help.

    Cheers,
    Mark.
