Hi REW-ABQ, thanks for messaging the Community.
From what you've described, account A was a personal account and account B was a Dropbox Business team, meaning that both could be linked to each other, but under separate emails and Dropbox folders on your computer.
When you merged account A to the Dropbox Business team C, this would unlink account A and B. Since you've recreated account A, could you try linking it to account B again using these steps?
Regarding your last question, you can ask their admin to see what settings they have for the shared folder using these steps, to see if the default is set to team members only.
If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
