Use video's first frame as its thumbnail
currently, for some bizarre reason, if a user uploads, a video to dropbox, the thumbnail attached to the video becomes a random screen frame approximately eight seconds into the video, rather than the first image of the video. Thus, if you make a video and wish to share it with others from your dropbox, the thumbnail that attaches to it will be some random unintended thumbnail. This is sub optimal programming, and dropbox says that they will correct it if enough users request it. please vote to make the thumbnail assigned as the first frame of an uploaded video.2.3KViews9likes6Comments
add "unselect/deselect all" to the photos tab
WHAT I need to unselect multiple photos that I have downloaded across months of uploads without having to scroll through back through all selected photos. WHY Time. I selected photos from multiple months and I cannot deselect them at one time. I have several computers with its own account that upload backup files daily. The problem is if someone is able to log into the computer and delete the files, it would be very troublesome. Maintain original photo names when uploading to Camera Uploads
Can you please maintain the original File Name when Photos are uploaded to Camera Uploads? Renaming all files with just their time stamp is a disaster for photo management. Original filenames will (often) have a speific set of characters identifying them, which have been selected by the photographer for a reason and they also (often) have a serial number which for (many) photographers is also essential to keep. If you think time stamping is essential, why not adding it at the end of the original photo filename? This means that a file named (example) DSC3650.jpg could well become DSC3650_2021-12-31 13.43.06.jpg1.3KViews3likes2CommentsCreate new folders in mass w import of Excel list
Would love to see Dropbox add a feature where you can create multiple new folders by importing a list from an Excel worksheet. We use MyRouteOnline for our business and we import a simple Excel worksheet with the Title, Cell, Address to create entire routes....which makes me wonder how many business users could Dropbox help if they added a simple "Mass Folder Creation feature" in a future update.
