hey there, I've been having a lot of sync issues with the desktop app lately. I have had to restart the computer to the point of having to reinstall the app to get a good sync process on my computer. is there a good solution or this kind of issues?Unable to upload 250 GB from WIN11 laptop both from web and desktop app
I pay for Dropbox Plus and have heaps of cloud space to upload to. Unfortunately I can't seem to be able to upload a 250GB folder whether I use the website or the Desktop APP. Am I missing something fundamental or is 250GB over a limit. It's driving me nuts. Thanks for any help. Vic22Views0likes3CommentsShow destination folder name/path for 'Share to Dropbox'
Android OS: Share>Upload to Dropbox>'Choose upload location': That dialog window does not show the name/path of the destination folder it is displayingto the user. Often this forces the user to tap 'back' several times to see what node of the folder tree the app will send the file(s) to. If the user hasn't done a recent 'Share>Add to Dropbox' operation, they have no memory of what the last destination folder path was. Please help the user know right away the name/path if the default destination folder. Thank you. P.S. I wish this feedback system would allow for screenshots to be uploaded.784Views2likes13CommentsWhen I try to upload content using the website, nothing happens.
Since last week I have been unable to upload any files to the Dropbox website. When I click 'upload or drop' and then choose 'file', nothing happens. I have tried clearing the browser (Chrome) cache and deleting cookies, restarting my laptop, and trying a different browser (Edge), but no luck with any of those potential solutions. My colleagues use the desktop version of Dropbox and none of them have had similar issues or know how to help me. Many thanks, RosanneSolved59KViews0likes9CommentsI don't see my external drive backup files, even though the backup is completed.
It's my first time using Dropbox Backup and I wanted to backup my external hard drive before I change the settings on it. On the Dropbox Backup homepage, it says backup is completed, but when I click to view backed up files, only my folders are there and nothing else. I've checked on multiple computers and still nothing. Please help.708Views0likes7CommentsDropbox photo sync is missing lots of photos.
I've been using the automatic photo backup for a long time now, and I assumed it is reliable and all my photos are being backed up successfully when it says they are. I am really alarmed to discover that is actually not the case. Recently I opened Dropbox and it started the photo sync and it said it had a little over 2200 photos to sync, ok no problem I left it open and let it do its thing. I checked on it a few minutes later and it said "all backed up" and I think wow that was really fast...too fast actually. So I check my dropbox and there's only 561 files there. It missed like 1600 pictures and said "all good!". This is really alarming and I'm now instantly extremely sad thinking about how many photos my wife and I have likely lost over the years. I am shook. How can I get it to retry all the photos it apparently did not upload?267Views0likes5CommentsKeep an active Mac Mail mailbox on Dropbox
Hi, my email archive has grown over the years – I want to keep all the important old stuff (since 1994) because it's kind of my personal archive. Now my mail provider (a little independent company) is complaining about the 50GB+ that I am using and wants to start charging me for that. There's plenty of space in my Dropbox so it would be great to be able to move old mail folders to Dropbox while still being able to access them from all my devices. In a nutshell, this is what I'd like to do: - Make the mailbox folders local on one of my computers so they don't take up space on my IMAP mail server - Move the local mbox folders to Dropbox while still being able to access them through the Mail.app - Then add them as local folders on other devices so they are available everywhere. Is this even possible, or do I risk messing up all my data? Thanks ChristophSolved275Views0likes1Comment
