On iPad, adjust column widths, or allow line wrap, to show full filenames
Is it possible to prevent long filenames being shortened from the end? My filenames need to have the whole name displayed, rather than having the end characters chopped off. These "end" characters identify the various versions of the same file. Many thanks, JohnF2.7KViews20likes9CommentsBack button to be added when viewing pdfs.
Can a "back" button be adder to the PDF viewer on iPad? We use Dropbox to host reference manuals, some are more than 1000 pages. It would be great if after clicking a link to a part of the document there was a back button which returned you to the previous page.2.6KViews6likes11CommentsiPad Files app not showing Dropbox folders and how I managed to solve this.
In working with a new iPad, I discovered that the Files app was not correctly connecting with Dropbox. No Dropbox folders showed up either in the Files app or in any other app with an open feature that would normally have been able to access Dropbox files. Oddly, when I clicked “Dropbox” in the list, there were no folders but I could add a folder and that new folder showed up in Dropbox on other devices (and in the Dropbox app on the iPad)! So there was some connection but not much… This is not an issue I’m experiencing on any of my other Apple devices (Mac or iOS). In talking with Apple support they had me delete the Files app, reboot the iPad, then reinstall “Files.” I did that, but to no effect. They escalated me to a higher level of support but while I was waiting, I also deleted Dropbox and reinstalled it. That solved the problem! So, if you can’t access your Dropbox folders and files in Files or in any of your other iPad apps, just delete and reinstall Dropbox—problem solved (at least for me, this time!)3.7KViews4likes4CommentsI need iPhone Live Photos to upload.
I cannot believe Dropbox does not support iPhone Live photos. Why??? I used Onedrive or Google Photos to upload my photos. and all of them supported live photos. I am always waiting for Dropbox to support it. Anyone can tell me when? I'm still using the Free plan until dropbox to support it.1.7KViews3likes2Comments“Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page." on iOS mobile app
Running iOS 17.3, just updated. When I try to share content to Dropbox, I get an error message: “Couldn’t save content. Check your internet connection and refresh the page. There’s not internet connection issue; I’m connected. This is Dropbox-specific. If I use share to Save to Dropbox, that works fine; no error. This also seems unique to the latest iOS update, as I didn’t encounter it before that. I tried uninstalling and re-installing Dropbox, and simply re-starting. Neither helps.Solved14KViews3likes117CommentsiOS app: "Convert all to classic integration"
I have noticed that Dropbox for iOS (v358.2) has a new action in the settings. Under `Native Files.app integration`, there is a button titled "Convert all to classic integration". But it is not documented anywhere. What does it do? How is the "modern" integration different from the "classic" one?3.8KViews3likes3CommentsNew Dropbox Backup does not sync to Dropbox iPhone App
There is a new PC folder (labeled PC) created in the new backup program that backs up my files on the internet (dropbox.com) only . However, that same folder does not appear on the Dropbox App on my iPhone or on my PC (dropbox folder) - so none of the new files that are downloaded to the internet sync with the iPhone App. When I manually place files in the Dropbox folder on my PC, it will then sync with my iPhone dropbox app. There use to be a file in the dropbox folder labeled for my Dell Computer name, and that file still exists, but it does not back up to that file as it use to before this new backup program existed. Almost all the files in that Dell Computer name folder have now disappeared. How do I automatically sync new files to my desktop PC dropbox folder, and therefore also the iPhone App, without manually having to do so? I don't think drop box is supposed to work this way.4.1KViews2likes25Comments
