Add second email address to account
I have just started using the DropBox for Business subscription – though still on the trial – and I am trying to connect a second version of my email address to my account. About a year ago we change our email setup from <firstname@company.com> to <firstname.lastname@company.com> and I get emails (and invitations to share folders) to both versions of the address. So I am trying to add an alias to my account so that I don't have to have two accounts. Does anyone know how to do this or a work around? Thanks for any help. GideonSolved14KViews0likes3Comments
Possible email scam (claiming to be dropbox).
I just received an email from a person claiming to be with Dropbox Business. It was suspect enough that I'm not clicking on any links. I dont have dropbox business (just professional) so I don't think it is legitamate. To whom at Dropbox do I report this ? User can't belong to multiple teams

Dropbox Business: Can't see team folders from applications with Dropbox access
Hi Dropbox Forum, I'm a Dropbox Business user. Everytime I use any program with access to dropbox, I can only see the personal folder (the purple one). I need access to the team folders (the blue ones) so I can get files that's shared within our whole team. Some of the programs are Backpack Studio, Synology, Akeeba backup and, from one of the big developers, Premiere Rush by Adobe. Can users covered by my Dropbox Business account create personal folders within the Dropbox Business structure or does an admin have to create them? 2. If users can create personal folders, are the names of the personal folders and their contents visible to everyone covered by the Dropbox Business account even if they are not shared by the user who created them? 3. Can an admin see all of the folders and files ina Dropbox Business account including personal folders/files even if they haven't been shared by the person who created them? 4. Regulate access to folders
We are a small society with a board, secretariat and several committees . We have a business Dropbox account with 4 team members. What we need: Multiple folders that are owned by Admin. Access to these folders upon invitation (but not through a link) by coworkers and people outside of de Dropbox Team. Some people should have edit rights, most should have viewing rights. Current status: folders are owned by Admin. Admin made folders inside the Team Folder. Team members were denied access (because I do not want all of them to have access) and I invited a Team member and people outside Dropbox team, some with edit and some with viewing rights. That is how I want it, but making it so seems to have messed with 1 Team member’s access both to Team folder as with a folder it owns itself. Can this be caused by how I organized things or not? Dropbox chat suggests I use groups to grant access to folders. Is this necessary/better? I don’t think I can give some group members edit and others viewing rights? A couple weeks ago someone from another company invited me to their Dropbox Business Team. I clicked on the link, but I didn't realize it was going to add me to their group so I contacted Dropbox about this and was told to have the Team Admin follow steps to change my account to a basic account. I sent the Team Admin (person from another company) the instructions and I got an email saying my account was deleted. I am not able to log into my account at all now. I thought this would keep my account but switch it from a Dropbox Business Account to a basic account. Is there a way to get my basic account back? Folders not visible to Admins
We have outsourced the Team Admin role on our business account to a 3rd party. We want to see the totality of folders and subfolders etc. that have been created in our Dropbox Business Standard account. Our Team Admin says they can't see all root level folders unless they have been given specific permission to view them. Is that correct? Is there a way for an Admin to see all folders that have been created without having to assign them read permissions to every folder?
