Hi, I work with various charities in the UK who often use free Dropbox accounts to share files for boards of trustees, teams etc. There is some confusion as to whether the GDPR compliance steps that Dropbox have made apply to these accounts or only to those on Dropbox Business. Problems with linking Excel files in Dropbox for Business
Hi, We have just changed from local fileserver to Dropbox for Business, and have now ran into trouble with linked Excel documents. I want to fetch and displayvalues of a certain cells in one excel document on Dropbox into another excel document on dropbox. Theproblem now being that the reference is made to the file version stored locally on the PC's, not the masterdocument on Dropbox. This means that the link becomes user depenant (works only for the one who creates the link). More of a excel challange maybe, but I cannot seem to insert a relative address or a use the for cell lookup. Backup and SYNC selected folders from QNAP NAS
Hey guys, I have a server dilema, we have a small NAS server which my colleagues save projects too. I simply want to be able to backup this particular folder (about 1 terabyte) onto thedropbox and sync as and when projects get added and updated. QNAP app has 'cloud backup sync' which lets you add dropbox account. So we got dropbox business and synced the folder and it exceeded 25,000 API calls and wont reset until end of the month. There seems to be a fair few issues. I can't be the only one who wants to backup some contents of a NAS server to the cloud? is the only solution is installinga drive directly onto my computer and have the app running locally? Since I recently upgraded to Dropbox for Business, I can no longer upload files on Slack. I have enabled the Dropbox integration on Slack a while ago. On the Slack desktop app, it recognises Dropbox and allows me to identify the file I want to share. Because my haddrive lacked space, I set up Dropbox to synch to an external drive connected to my MacBookAir. However, whilst travelling I disconnect the portable (external) drive and when reconnecting Dropbox fails to find the path back to the Dropbox folder on the external drive. I have tried to change the path in the Dropbox advanced settings but all that does is create a Dropbox/Dropbox folder which would obviously defeat the purpose. Hi. I have the dropbox business advanced account. I have the offline installers etc for the newest version of the Dropbox app. But, I am finding it rather difficult to use. What I want to do is make this program only watch certain folders and then sync them as the files and the folders in those folders change. For example, I don't want my desktop constantly synced. The shared folder currently sits outside of theTeam Folder and Shared Workspace. When I try to share the subfolder it says I can only share a Link. Q1. Email to Dropbox not working, no files uploading.
I've been using the email to dropbox function pretty consistently for a few months now. Just today I noticed it doesn't seem to be working. I have an application setup to email invoices to my dropbox email for later processing. The emails I sent this morning did not hit my folder (but the emails and files did go out). I tested it by sending an email from my regular email and the file I attached again did not make it to my folder.
