Unable to share folder since it contains a shared folder
Hello, I have created a folder with documents and folders that are labelled as: "Only You" for members. It will not allow me to share this folder though because it says "This folder can only be shared as a link because it contains a shared folder". I don't see any files inside this folder that are shared though. I moved a lot of information into this folder and unshared some people from documents to make all ONLY YOU. Does this take awhile to update before I can share with others? Not sure why its showing as I only have access but not allowing sharing... Please let me know how to resolve. 400 malformed_certificate google
My company uses SSO with Google and we recently began getting 400. Error: malformed_certificate. The SAML certificate had expired, I rotated a new one in and indicated that for Dropbox within Google Admin Console. In their steps to update, the final one seems to be to configure DB to point to the new cert: 7. After changing the certificate assigned to the SAML app, make sure to also update the app's SSO configuration with the new certificate on the Service Provider's website. SSO with the SAML app won't work until the SP-side configuration is also updated. Feels like I'm close to getting this to work again, but don't know exactly what the final bit is. "www.dropbox.com refused to connect."
A classical case of Dropbox website working on every device in network, except a single PC. But, sadly, even with all the support on other similar topics, I couldn't connect to the website. I have tried using different browsers, turning proxy, antivirus and vpn on and off, using different DNS servers and removing the "hosts" file. So now, when I have tried every other option, I'm trying to reach for support of the community. My best guess is that the issue persists due to some setting or error in router, but for some reason it works perfectly on any other device.Solved4.9KViews0likes4Comments

How to opt out of sharing my personal data?
Before I could access a file that I was sent the other day, I had to agree to the cookies and personal data sharing. I found the wording confusing and could not tell if "Don't sell my info..." button turned on meant I did want it to be shared or didn't want to be shared. Well, it looks like I chose wrong and now I need to turn that button back off. Does anyone know how I do this? I've looked under all the settings I can find and do not see this option anywhere. Please help so I can take my inbox back over from all the unsolicited messages I'm receiving. As a photographer is use Dropbox to transmit, store and handle my files. lately when running a search for the word "FIRE", the search function returned multiple pictures from my archive with flames in them. Question 1: has my Photography Archive been subject to Ai image analysis? (which it obviously has been...) - what kind? - by what tools? and most importantly, where did i concent to any of it? (yes i read the 'Legal' page thoroughly) disclaimer: as an event photographer i am involved in all kinds of Private, Open & Deeply personal moments from peoples lives, i have an Etheic Moral and Legal duty to protect my clients, partners, models, childrens & friends privacy, dignity and basic right not to have their likeness and very life be used to feed some data set somewhere withiout their knowlege and concent. i use Generative Ai tools as part of my personal and professional creative research, i see the potential, but am also aware of the possible implications. Question 2: has my Phototography Archive (my body of work) been compromised, sold, copied or in any other way transfered to any third party without my concent? i think you get where im going with this.... am i doomed to have my stuff be fed to the Ai data machine by simply having it on the internet? i am only asking because i am already extremely doubtfull of my future as an Artist and Creative Professional. i love Dropbox a lot and use it all the time and recommend it to everyone, i really hope i don't soon grow to regret it... would love to hear your thoughts. ~T187.Solved2.7KViews1like4Comments
