When Windows 11 is in Dark Mode, the Google Chrome browser is also in dark mode by default. In this case the Dropbox 2 factor authentication QR code is not getting recognized by the authenticator app (e.g. Aegis authenticator app). It only works when Windows 11 is in Light Mode (which also forces Google Chrome to Light Mode by default).684Views1like7CommentsHow to fix "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR"?
Hello. My supervisor has a problem with the Dropbox web page, so she cannot even register on her computer. When she accesses "www.dropbox.com," she gets the error message "this site can't provide a secure connection (ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR)." It happens both in Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Also, she can access to other sites except for Dropbox. So, I did several works, but it still has the error message. Please help me. 1. System data and time check -> it is right 2. Removed all the Internet usage history from the browser 3. Removed SSL condition from Internet option 4. Disabled Experimental QUIC protocol and TLS 1.3 in Chrome 5. Deactivated the vaccination program 6. Lowered the firewall 7. Disabled all the extension programs in the browser 8. Set the Internet security level to medium 9. Flushed all the DNS from the cmd I have no idea what I should do next.2KViews1like2CommentsSoftware Engineer Intern (Summer 2025) - Application Form Issues
Hi, Sorry in advance if this is the wrong place to post - I tried looking around for any support regarding hiring but could not find any. I had seen individuals post questions related to application forms in the past on this board, hence why I chose it for help. Apologies again for the inconvenience! I had been attempting to apply to the Summer 2025 position for Software Engineer Intern in the US (remote) via greenhouse.io (the link can be found here:https://boards.greenhouse.io/embed/job_app?token=6209859&utm_source=Simplify&ref=Simplify) - but when trying to fill out the "Company Name" field for each of my work experience sections, there was no input box visible for the field, and thus I could not submit my application by normal means. I'm unsure if this is a general problem or if it is only on specific browsers - so for troubleshooting's sake I am using Google Chrome - version 129.0.6668.90 of the Official Build (64-bit). It was a bit hacky of a fix in the meantime, but for me to submit my application I just used the developer console and set the value for the input field manually - see below: var inp = document.getElementById('employment_company_name_0') inp.value = 'COMPANY NAME HERE'; To fill in more than one field, I just changed the ID appropriately - i.e. 'employement_company_name_2', 'employment_company_name_3', and so on. Figured at the very least I would leave that there incase any others run into the same problem with the application and find themselves here - a pretty quick (albeit hacky) fix if you have any knowledge of JS at all, but hopefully this is something that can be fixed in the near future? Thanks in advance for any reply / help - and my apologies once again if this is the wrong place for such a post.Solved380Views0likes4CommentsA Photographers question on Ai Image Analysis & Ai Data Collection,- Concent, Rights & Implicaions
As a photographer is use Dropbox to transmit, store and handle my files. lately when running a search for the word "FIRE", the search function returned multiple pictures from my archive with flames in them. Question 1: has my Photography Archive been subject to Ai image analysis? (which it obviously has been...) - what kind? - by what tools? and most importantly, where did i concent to any of it? (yes i read the 'Legal' page thoroughly) disclaimer: as an event photographer i am involved in all kinds of Private, Open & Deeply personal moments from peoples lives, i have an Etheic Moral and Legal duty to protect my clients, partners, models, childrens & friends privacy, dignity and basic right not to have their likeness and very life be used to feed some data set somewhere withiout their knowlege and concent. i use Generative Ai tools as part of my personal and professional creative research, i see the potential, but am also aware of the possible implications. Question 2: has my Phototography Archive (my body of work) been compromised, sold, copied or in any other way transfered to any third party without my concent? i think you get where im going with this.... am i doomed to have my stuff be fed to the Ai data machine by simply having it on the internet? i am only asking because i am already extremely doubtfull of my future as an Artist and Creative Professional. i love Dropbox a lot and use it all the time and recommend it to everyone, i really hope i don't soon grow to regret it... would love to hear your thoughts. ~T187.Solved2.7KViews1like4CommentsWhy is Google blocking Dropbox when trying to open an Excel file?

A classical case of Dropbox website working on every device in network, except a single PC. But, sadly, even with all the support on other similar topics, I couldn't connect to the website. I have tried using different browsers, turning proxy, antivirus and vpn on and off, using different DNS servers and removing the "hosts" file. So now, when I have tried every other option, I'm trying to reach for support of the community. My best guess is that the issue persists due to some setting or error in router, but for some reason it works perfectly on any other device.Solved4.9KViews0likes4CommentsI cannot see my device to sign out of it
Hi I use four devices on Dropbox. Whenever I want to use the 4th device I sign out of one. This has worked for years. However, just recently I found I cannot sign out of my main computer it is always signed in. It never appears on the link of 'Which one do you want to sign out from'. Can anyone assist, please? I have tried to log out of all devices and it has still not worked. Thanks ClaireSolved1.9KViews0likes13CommentsWhy does the Dropbox site detect my login as a new connection?
Hello, it seems that MANY sites (including DROPBOX) are being bit lazy in their attempts to decide if I am logging in from a new device. It find it a bit irritating to get an email message telling me that I logged in from a new device, when all that has happened, is that my favourite browser (Firefox in this case) got updated from version 126.x to 127.0. OK, I might not get this for the point releases (e.g. 126.1 to 126.2 etc), but that is not the point. Doing it this way means that at the next big version update, I will get yet another false positive. Here is a suggestion for the developers: 1) Do NOT use the browser version at all in any scripted fingerprinting 2) Use the client IP address if possible 3) Use a "Canvas Fingerprint" instead to detect the GPU/Graphic card functionality and type (as I will NOT be changing it any time soon!)
