Dropbox for TV devices
Dear Dropbox community, I would like to share my latest project with you, namely Dropbox MSX. Dropbox MSX is a service that allows you to access your Dropbox files (i.e. videos, audio files, and images) through TV devices. It uses the Media Station X application for visualization and the latest Dropbox API to browse and access files. If you need to get everyone on the same page, share feedback or just catch up, you can start a Zoom call from Dropbox and have easy access to your whole team and all your files, in one place. You can even record the meeting and save it to Dropbox so everyone is clear on what to do next, and anyone who couldn’t make the meeting is still in the loop. Don’t worry, the files and notes you shared will be in the activity feed, too. To get started, all you need to do is connect your Google or Outlook calendar to Dropbox and follow these steps: Click your profile picture (or face icon) in the upper-right corner. Click Settings. Click the Connected apps tab. Next to Zoom, click Connect to Zoom and follow the prompts. Then you can simply start a Zoom call directly from your files! You might not be physically working in the same place at the moment, but you can definitely be on the same page. You can back your WordPress website or blog with Dropbox
I'm a blogger, and I just recently started posting a lot of content on my blog. I've had bad experiences with WordPress relating to loss of data. Most times there used to be an error with WordPress updates, bad plugins, etc. So I installed a plugin on my WordPress dashboard that was supposed to help me backup my WordPress site. I was surprised to see an option that helped me back up my site to Dropbox automatically, even if I lost my data on WordPress, I could easily retrieve it from Dropbox😊Using the Dropbox & HelloSign integration
Making sure your tools are all connected and working as well as they can be is key to a good workflow. First of all, is HelloSign included with Dropbox? Yes! So let’s look at how you can connect Dropbox and HelloSign to get the most out of both. Connect Dropbox and HelloSign When you send for a signature through Dropbox, you’ll be prompted to connect your Dropbox and HelloSign accounts and accept the terms of service. If you don’t already have a HelloSign account, a free account will be created with the email address you use for Dropbox. If you already have a HelloSign account with the same email address as your Dropbox account, the accounts will be connected. After your accounts are connected, you’ll also be able to sign in to HelloSign.com by clicking Sign in with Dropbox. What can I do with HelloSign and Dropbox? Once you’re all connected, you can start sharing files for people to sign. You can read all about how to do that right over here. You can also learn how to cancel a signature request, and how to sign a document yourself. Once your signed files are complete, you and all signers will receive email confirmations. Your signed files automatically save to your Dropbox account, in the location you chose for that file and in your connected HelloSign account. If you delete a signed file from either Dropbox or HelloSign, it’ll still be saved on the other platform, so you always have a back up copy. If you delete the file from both, then it cannot be retrieved. What if someone hasn’t signed their form yet? Don’t worry, you don’t have to wait until someone signs a document to have it saved to your Dropbox account. While a file is waiting to get signed, an in-progress PDF version of the file is saved in the location in your Dropbox account you chose named “[file name] (in-progress).pdf”. Once the file is signed, that file is replaced with a new, signed PDF file named “[file name] (signed).pdf”. Start to finish, you have a record and a copy in your Dropbox account too. What else should I know about the HelloSign and Dropbox integration? If the HelloSign account you connected to Dropbox is on the limited free plan (which is the default plan), you can make three document transactions per month. You can track and manage your HelloSign signature requests directly from Dropbox. To get started, sign in to the HelloSign for Dropbox dashboard and: Find the file(s) you need by using the Search bar at the top. Click the Request signature button to request a signature. You’ll also get Dropbox and email notifications as your requests progress. Signed files take up space in your Dropbox account. If you run out of space in your Dropbox account while a file is in progress (waiting on a signature), you’ll see an error message and the signed version of the file will only save on HelloSign.com and not in Dropbox. Hi, I'm looking to edit photos and then print them from a Dropbox webpage (Windows 11) and was hoping someone could help me. I can print photos easily enough from dropbox.com but I can't edit them first. I tried the integrated PIXL app which is great for editing photos, but I can't print them from there. I want to avoid the step of having to download to edit and then print or edit then have to download. I tried customer support but they had nothing to offer. Surely there is an app out there that let's me do some basic cropping and editing in dropbox and then print. Thank you!
Arch Linux Dropbox Gnome app indicator drop down menu
I use Arch Linux as well as many other Linux flavors. Often on Arch with Gnome desktop I had trouble getting the Dropbox drop down menu to look and perform properly. I searched the Internet but really found nothing addressing my problem. I actually gave up on it for a few months. While trying to correct another problem with the app indicator panel I installedlibappindicator-gtk3. It solved the other problem I was working on but I got an added bonus in that the Dropbox drop down menu suddenly started working perfectly as it does on Linux Mint Cinnamon, Debian Gnome and MX Linux Xfce. So just a tip if the Dropbox drop down menu is not performing properly on Arch Linux Gnome, try installinglibappindicator-gtk3 from the Arch repositories. It is in the Arch official extra repository. I think it's possible that this solution could also help on any Arch based distro such as Manjaro,EndeavourOS, etc. if the Dropbox drop down menu doesn't look or perform correctly. I also had the same problem on Fedora Gnome but I don't currently have a free test partition to try this with Fedora.Update: IE 11 deprecation and the Dropbox for Outlook integration
Hi all, We've found that our deprecation of IE 11 has the unintended effect of breaking the Dropbox for Outlook integration in some instances (as on these versions, Outlook uses an IE webview that no longer functions). No longer supported: Dropbox Outlook Plug-in on Window 7 All versions of Outlook require IE webview on Windows 7 Dropbox Outlook Plug-in on Windows < v 1903 and Microsoft 365 < version 16.0.116291 On Windows 10, customers must update both OS and 365 to or beyond these versions.
