Greetings to the Community, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have been experiencing with the Microsoft Word app on my Android tablet in conjunction with Dropbox. Previously, I was able to seamlessly save my Word documents to my Dropbox account by selecting "Save As" and choosing the Dropbox folder. However, for the past month, this process has ceased to function. Despite diligently following the same steps as before, my saved documents are no longer appearing in the Dropbox app, Dropbox Web, or my Dropbox desktop application on my laptop. Essentially, my work is not being uploaded to Dropbox. I kindly request your assistance in resolving this matter. Your expertise in this area would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your attention to this issue. Sincerely, Joseph2KViews0likes18CommentsIPad App - Offline Excel files won’t open without internet connection
Hi there, when I click an offline excel (or any MS file) in the iPad Dropbox app, I get an error saying ‘Can’t open Excel’ and that I can view the preview of the file but not open/edit it. Is there some setting I need to change in Dropbox or Excel to access offline files (Other than make them offline in DB) Thanks, Chris2.9KViews0likes19CommentsDo you access your Dropbox content on other apps outside of the Dropbox app? Feedback appreciated!
Hi everyone, My name isEmily, a Product Manager on the Dropbox Mobile app team and I am here because I wanted to reach out to the community to learn about how you access your Dropbox content outside the Dropbox app. We are planning to make some improvements to the way Dropbox integrates with other apps and want to hear your feedback. Here are a few questions to get the conversation started: What apps do you use to access your Dropbox content (outside of Dropbox)? What types of devices do you use them on? (iOS, Android, tablet, etc) How often do you use these apps? (daily, weekly, monthly) What works about this set up? What doesn’t? Is there anything you‘d like to see improved from the Dropbox side? We understand that everyone's experience may differ, so we welcome all types of feedback, positive or negative. We're committed to continuously improving our product so your feedback will help us make it better. Thank you in advance for your time and input. We're excited to hear what you have to say! I used to be able to open Word or Excel documents in Dropbox by clicking the three dots by the filename and choosing "Open in" and selecting "MS Word" or "Excel." Now, on my desktop computer, I can choose only the web-based Word or Excel, and on my iPad, if I choose "Open in" and click Microsoft Word, nothing happens. I have Word and Excel installed on both these devices, and I have a Microsoft 365 subscription. Does anyone know why I am unable to edit my documents any more? Thanks for any help.Solved2.7KViews0likes6CommentsExcel for the web opens files in the Excel app on Android instead of the Dropbox website
Hi everyone, I have a problem with my tab s9+ and dropbox. I generally use Excel for Web to edit .xlsx files located in my Dropbox space. If I install the Dropbox app on Android it asks me to install Excel to be able to edit those files. And so far everything is normal. The problem lies in the fact that, once the Dropbox application has been installed, it is no longer possible to use Excel for Web even by accessing the file via browser. In practice, when you ask to open the file via Excel for Web, instead of carrying out this action, the tablet opens the Dropbox application, not allowing me to edit the file unless installing Excel on the tablet. Do you have any suggestions on this? Thanks everyone for the help512Views0likes1CommentThird party app not correctly linking to file structure
We are using Bluebeam Revu for iPad which connects with Dropbox. It used to work just fine, but a few years ago Dropbox stopped showing the full file structure within the Bluebeam Revu for iPad app. I've been working with Bluebeam tech support off and on about this issue for this whole time, but they still can't figure out what the cause is. This does not happen with their other users. When in the Bluebeam Revu for iPad app, when we go to the cloud connections, where it connects with Dropbox, the Dropbox listing there only shows three folders and one loose PDF file. We have MANY, MANY more than that which aren't showing. For some reason, Dropbox will not sync the full file structure. It had worked fine from before October 2020, but after that it stopped syncing and showing the full file structure with Bluebeam Revu for iPad.Solved4KViews0likes19CommentsReunionTouch not syncing to iMac.
I use ReunionTouch on the iPad with Dropbox as the storage & syncing tool for the Mac. Usually the family history files automatically sync from iPad to Mac no problem & it's easy to see this is happening because the number of people in the family tree goes up. This isn't happening. There doesn't appear to be any syncing at all. My iPad Reunion Family Tree shows 7920 people but DropboxReunion Family Tree shows 7853 people. I don't want to lose those 67 people I have added to the tree, along with all the notes I have made. Can anyone give me any guidance please?Solved1.3KViews0likes2CommentsCan't add dropbox files from my iPad anymore
I have been using Dropbox for years and one of the feature I really like is the ability to import files directly from the Dropbox folder (on my iPad). For example, if a website is asking me for a copy of my passport, I would simply click on the upload, select the dropbox icon, and then choose the file I want to upload. But for the past couple of days this is not working anymore. It works fine on the laptop, but on the ipad I am getting this error (see screenshot below). I don't even know how to report this bug. Can anyone help? Is anyone facing the same issue?Solved1.5KViews1like3CommentsDropbox on Samsung Tablet but can't edit MS Excel files
