Shared Folders
5 TopicsFamily Plan and existing accounts
Am considering upgrading our non-profit from a Pro to a Family plan. IF I invite someone with an existing Basic account (I'm assuming a new account isn't required), what happens to the files they already have stored in their basic account. Do they get merged into a single account, or does their account remain separate, just with the added features? The issue is that we're sharing folders with >2GB of data, so the basic folks keep getting out of space notices. All I'm really trying to do is get them to count against our 2TB quota. Thanks!Solved2.1KViews0likes2Commentsdoes downgrading to Basic mean I lose access to shared folders?
Dropbox feels so spammy, scammy and grabby now that I have lost all trust in them and can't find this answer - maddeningly opaque. I'm using less than 1GB of my $9.99/month Dropbox Plus 2000GB plan and obviously don't need it. But a lot of folders and docs have been shared with me for a work project. If I let my sub lapse to Basic, do I lose access to them? I don't use or need it for anything else. Yet Dropbox has "Recommended" I upgrade to the Professional Plan at $19.99/month plan. Eyeroll. Thank you if you can answer this simple question.Solved1.3KViews0likes2CommentsSubscription
I have a client that wants to share his folders on Dropbox, but I can't open it because I'm signing on with a free plan. If 2 or more companies want to share the same folder and location on Dropbox, does everyone have to pay for a subscription for enough data? Seems like only the original party that's sharing the folder would need the subscription. Thank you, SidonaSolved977Views0likes1Comment
