Shared folder empty on devices and online
There is a folder that our band members use to sync songs, images, lyrics, etc. It recently turned up completely empty for all of us, on our devices and on dropbox.com. None of us remembers having done anything, let alone having deleted everything. What can we do to get our files back? Best regards, Alex
How to move multiple files at once to a shared folder?
I want to share a bunch of photos with family. I created a shared folder and sent them the link to view. I can select multiple photos and videos at once... but I can't figure out how to move them all into the shared folder at the same time. Am I missing something? Hi everyone, I tried to share a large folder (about 10T), and it took very long to finish. While the sharing was ongoing, I deleted some files in it, and when I tried to access the folder again on the Dropbox website, it said the folder didn't exist. The folder is still on my computer and I am pretty sure that I didn't delete it entirely. I checked the deleted folder on the Dropbox website and it's not there. The files deleted inside that folder were also not shown on the event page. What can I do to restore the folder?How do I delete a file someone I don't know shared with me?
How do I delete a file someone I don't know shared with me? Someone shared a video with me and it's in my account. There are not options to delete, hide, or remove it. I don't recall getting a notice - I just came looking for another file and there it was. How do I get rid of it. It's labeled as "Shared with You". It doesn't show that it's any particular folder. It has a checkbox on the left but no option to delete or hide or anything. The ... ellipse menu only has options to download or Save As (file type). It's a whopping 845.35MB "Truancy Video English.MP4" with some judge reading the truancy law!!??? It's disturbing that someone can park this file in my folders and I not know about it or be able to do anything about it. File Info gives the date of 3/1/2024 and the file size. To reiterate: I didn't share a file, it was shared with me by someone I don't even know. I just searched for all .MP4 files and this one was included, it's not in a folder and it can only be found by searching the title or .MP4. Does anyone know how I can remove this shared file and prevent anyone from sharing anything into my account ever again? Thanks!
Permanently deleting files from shared folder
In my Dropbox I have a lot of files that were shared in a folder and have been deleted to my "delete files", so no files are in my shared folder. The question is how do I delete them? I select some and push permanently delete, it asks for my password, after putting it in, pushing OK then NOTHING. So how do you get rid of them? Barry
