115 TopicsHow do I sign in to my Dropbox account if I've made too many login attempts?
I have a problem logging in after I did phone reset. At first I thought that maybe I am entering wrong password so I did password reset as well but it doesn't help. I waited for hours but nothing is changing. I tried to uninstall and install app again but problem still persists.Solved179KViews13likes76CommentsDice captcha is an atrocity
The "add dice up to 14" captcha - five times in a row - with a time limit - grainy images - that resets if you get one single wrong answer is absolutely not a test of me "being human". It is a frustrating and ridiculous waste of time that is not disability friendly and simply impossible under some internet conditions. Personally, I already detest dropbox and only use it when forced to by external collaborators. Every time I am forced to use it there is some fresh hell you have invented to make the experience even worse. Doing fieldwork where I had patchy internet and a small screen this captcha was impossible for me. It delayed file sharing for about a week. Get rid of it. I can only imagine how impossible this must be for someone with dyslexia, and there doesn't seem to be any way to ask for an alternate test. Frankly I can't believe someone hasn't sued you for discrimination yet.5.8KViews9likes6CommentsMobile Authenticator not working
Using 2-step verification, I've recently tried switching from receiving texts to using the mobile authenticator. However, the latter is not working. I'm getting 'invalid' code when i try to input the code generated. How is this possible? Is there no other way to use 2-step authenticator without having to resort to texts?Solved57KViews6likes78CommentsIncorrect name in Dropbox email
Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place or has already been raised. On 12/12/2021 I received an email from Dropbox titled 'Updates to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy'. This email started with 'Hi fYJ0*****2N'. My dropbox password was 'fYJ0*****2N' (I've changed this both here and permanently to access my account. Later the same day I received the same email - this time addressed to my name. Is this a data leak? Certainly sending passwords via email isn't great! Have others received this email or is it just me (note, I've changed my password!)? PS: I have Dropbox emails sent to a separate email alias (dropbox@....) so am sure it was from them. See screenshot;Solved9.7KViews4likes11CommentsPhone number has changed/new phone... HELP!
I need to access my old account. Two-step verification appears to be on. Code was sent to my old phone number, which has changed. I now have a new phone and new number. (Old phone no longer works as the screen is shattered/doesn't power on) I don't recall having an emergency backup code on hand either. I need to get into my old account. My email address for my old account is <SNIP> I know the password. I NEED TO TALK TO CUSTOMER SERVICE BY PHONE OR EMAIL A/S/A/P. I NEED A LIVE PERSON PREFERABLY. (I had to create a new email address, Google account, etc. all because two-step verification was "on". Apparently most of my online activity was linked to my old number, which no longer exists. I find it super frustrating...) There are very important files on my original account that I need to retrieve/get back. I created this new account (that I'm using to type this) just so that I can file a complaint and hopefully get some answers/HELP! *Edit: I no longer have the SIM card to my previous phone, which was a Samsung Galaxy A10e ... Ugh! *@$!&#Solved45KViews3likes14CommentsInvalid Email Or Password - Login issue
My team has dropbox downloaded on several devices. Mobiles & Tablets: both IOS and Android. Computers: Mac and PC - yet for some reason we cannot go online (tried most browsers) and access the dropbox account online. I manage the account and have not changed the password, so why do we all get the "Invalid Email or password" message? - And yes - I have cleared history.Solved31KViews2likes16CommentsFree Account Hacked - Password and e-mail changed
