I am a recent user of dropbox and signed up for the essential account. I have encountered an issue and have been trying to reach dropbox support unsuccessfully. Under the support page there are options as how to contact support which are 1. submit a request, 2. chat and 3. request call back. However all those options are grayed out and i cannot choose any of them as a method of contacting the support folks. Why is that, since under the essential plan i am supposed to be able to get direct technical support form dropbox?633Views0likes13CommentsCan someone else upload to my Dropbox account?
A friend from Uni wants to send me 1,5 Hour Long Videos. She asked me to prepare the Account. Is it possible that i can presinstall the Account and she can use my Account to Upload the Videos with dropbox essential ? Side Note, we can not meet up in person and I want to make it as easy for her as possible. Could someone tell me of this is possible? Or if there Are other options? thank you in advance 🙂270Views0likes1CommentAdd 1 member to my shared folders, instead of granting a license.
I have to say that as a small business owner that has used and supported Dropbox for years, I am very frustrated and disappointed that there is no option to add just 1 team member to my shared folder who can easily upload documents. I have a VA that creates all of my graphics and need to be able to upload all of those to my shared folder. The only solutions that I have been given is to do the "team" membership which is for 3 people and instead of costing me $12/mo. which I pay now for my Plus membership, I would now have to pay a minimum of $45/mo.(if paying for the whole year, it is more month to month) OR I could use the "request folder" option... which will make my life a nightmare. We have about 15 folders. I would need to grant a request to each one and it expires after 10 days. It would not be difficult to add an add on option for 1 team member. I would be happy to pay an additional $15-18/mo. to add on just 1 person. I feel like this would support the smaller and growing businesses and make it a more doable option.714Views0likes2CommentsShare files of a "master" account with "slaved" accounts
Example: a "master" Dropbox for a fee account (with 3 TB of memory space) wants to share files (only viewing) with one or more "slaves" Dropbox basic accounts (only 2 GB of memory). Now it's impossible: each "slave" account must have enough memory space like the "master" account. It would be useful that each "slave" account could have access to the files with "basic" Dropbox account.336Views0likes1CommentCan't find my desktop files, after changing plans
I was asked this morning to upgrade as I did not have enough space in my dropbox , I did that but made a mistake and went for business which I dont need. Got on chat and they took me off business and now I am back to the free personal version as before, The only difference is that I now cannot see my original desk top files on my Mac and cant get back to the person I chatted with before. Any ideas please?351Views0likes1CommentDifference between shared folder and family room
My team used to each have an account subscribed to the plus plan and we shared a folder to access the files as a team. We recently decided to start a family plan and are wondering what exactly is the difference between a shared folder and a family room when subscribed to a family plan.2.3KViews2likes4Comments
