Hi Team, Can someone please help with an email I received as below? Not sure what it all means The ???? Limited team has been disbanded by Dropbox. Your team’s folders have been converted to shared folders, and all ??? Limited groups have been deleted. Your account has been converted to a personal Dropbox plan. Reason I ask is that we had a colleague that left our company under bad terms. Many thanks in advance.15KViews0likes114CommentsHow to leave a dropbox team
How do I leave a team in Dropbox? According to instructions one should: Sign in to dropbox.com. Choose your work account at the bottom left. Click the button by your team name: Groups and members or # members. Click Leave team. But when going to "groups and members" in my account, I can see the team, but there is no option to leave it. Thank you very much.Solved13KViews1like9CommentsMy account was deleted after being removed from Business team
A couple weeks ago someone from another company invited me to their Dropbox Business Team. I clicked on the link, but I didn't realize it was going to add me to their group so I contacted Dropbox about this and was told to have the Team Admin follow steps to change my account to a basic account. I sent the Team Admin (person from another company) the instructions and I got an email saying my account was deleted. I am not able to log into my account at all now. I thought this would keep my account but switch it from a Dropbox Business Account to a basic account. Is there a way to get my basic account back? I had a Dropbox Plus account that I was paying for and has a lot of files on it too. [Post restored by moderator]Solved5.9KViews0likes18CommentsHow can I leave a Dropbox Business team?
I inadvertently changed my personal subscription to a Business subscription following accepting a Team invite from an existing client. Asking how to roll back my subscription to the state prior to the Team invite trigger and to ensure that any of my permissions/files/access doesn't change in regards to any of my Dropbox activity preceding the subscription change.Solved3.9KViews0likes12CommentsMy Dropbox Account has been suspended and my team cannot access to my shared folder
Dear Dropbox Community, I am writing to seek assistance regarding the suspension of my Dropbox account. Recently, my Dropbox administrator suspended my account, resulting in all the files that I have created becoming unavailable on any computer. Moreover, many of these files are shared folders that are inaccessible to my team members due to my suspension. Unfortunately, my Dropbox administrator has poor expertise in managing Dropbox, and I am unable to make her understand the situation, and she said that I deleted all the shared folder. Hence, I am hoping to access any documentation or support that could assist me in demonstrating to my superiors what actually happened. Could you please advise me on how to proceed? I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. Thank you for your time and consideration. I am currently working as a freelancer and we subscribed to a Dropbox premium account and we store them all of the files that the company is needed. Suddenly our team admin got an issue with the company and got fired. Then he deleted all the accounts of dropbox and blocked all of us. We cannot contact him through call or text. Is there any way to retrieve the account? We badly need all of the visuals and poster that was uploaded to that account. Please help us. Our company has two business accounts, one is annual and one is monthly (for interns). We have 2 users on the monthly account (team) that are now permanent employees and want to move them to the annual account. When I delete the user from the monthly team and try to add/invite the user to the normal team, Dropbox says the email address has already been used in an invite and references the monthly account. I was able to restore the deleted users so they could at least continue using Dropbox. How can I move a user from one team to another?Solved2.9KViews0likes1CommentAdmin Console Questions
In Admin Console, under Members, I see "People with your team's email domain" and "People your team works with". Both of these areas show lists of people who are either no longer with my company or we no longer work with them. I can't seem to figure out what is causing users to show up in these areas. How do I track this down and remove these users so that they no longer show up. Thank you2.8KViews0likes8CommentsForced to use single sign-on with university email address
I have had a paid account with Dropbox now for years and recently after moving to a different university for graduate school, I changed the email address to the one I use at the new university. This worked fine for over a year, but now when I try to log in it tells me that I must use single sign-on and give the university admin access to all of my personal files. This is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I had to create an account just to create a discussion here to get support. I pay for a personal Dropbox account and do not want to share all of my files with the university. I really needed to get a document from my Dropxbox today for medical reasons and was unable to do so. I need support to change the email address or whatever I need to do so that I can download all my files and find a better cloud storage provider. Thanks.Solved2KViews0likes5CommentsDropbox management for employees leaving the company
Hi All, Good day. I would like to ask for an advise with regards to securing files and folders in Dropbox. Can you share your best practices when someone leaves the company. How can we secure data that he/she has access to. Can we set a permission not to download the file from his/her device? Is this something possible in Dropbox? Thank you in advance for your suggestions.1.9KViews0likes4Comments
