I can't access files shared with me by others via links
I have my own dropbox but independently, for work things, I been given access to files and folders in various other people's dropboxes recently but for some reason I get an error msg and can't access them. These are open files to everyone and it is not just one time / company - it's happening with courses I have paid for, with press media files that are available just generally, people who send me general links to files - I always get this error: Error Something went wrong. Don’t worry, your files are still safe and the Dropbox team has been notified. Check ourStatus Pageto see if there is a known incident, ourhelp centreandforumsfor help, or go back tohome. I have checked the installer, checked my own dropbox syncs etc. My own files are fine and so I can't see the issue. It has happened without about 5 different companies giving me access - that I can't see the files - which are open to the general public if you have been sent the link. What can I do?
Zip file can not decompress Mac OS X
Hello DB. I have now, on multiple occasions, had clients write me that when they download a folder I sent them, the resulting .zip file will provide an error when decompressed. I have myself recreated this on a Macbook Air M2 on OS X Monterey and Big Sur. The downloaded zip file has the correct size, but is corrupt. Best, Tor
I can't open an Excel document stored in Dropbox through my iPad Pro.
Through the ‘Recents’ folder in Excel, I try to open an Excel doc stored in Dropbox, on my iPad Pro, I get a request or which asks if I want to link Microsoft Office Mobile with Dropbox. It asks which account I want to link with; I tell it. (I have a Personal Plus account). It briefly tells me, ‘working on it’ then jumps back to the ‘Recents’ files, without opening the doc. If I try to open it from Dropbox, via the App, the same thing happens. The App Center in Dropbox is no help at all, it indicates that MS Mobile is linked, and as far as I can see offers no way of linking a new App anyway. Dropbox Support is worse than useless; as a Plus account, I should have access to live chat, but I cannot find any reference to or way of accessing this. I have already wasted several hours with this run-around, and am stunned by the poor design of this whole site.Video transcript error message
I keep getting the error message "There was an error loading the transcript" for all my videos when trying to generate a transcript. The length doesn't matter, it happens with 1-minute videos and 30- or 60- minute videos. The format is mp4. All videos are played correctly in the preview. The audio is clear and in English. Any suggestions?
Error when trying to open an Excel file online
Hi ! I am on Mac and when I open a file in my box on safari or google, I can not edit it via Excel for the web. When I open the file a drawing of a dog appears saying that there's been a problem... I have tried to clear my history but nothing changes. Do you have any idea of what I should do ? Thanks
