Dropbox Basic
277 TopicsHow to Leave a Shared Folder
I'm relatively new to DropBox, and I'm using DropBox Basic, with no interest in upgrading to Pro at this time. A client has shared a folder with me that includes many subfolders, and I have just reached my space limit. I'd like to leave some of those subfolders to open up some space. Is this possible, and how do I do it? Is the only solution to leave that top-level folder? If so, will that interfere with the client's ability to share with me more subfolders of that top-level share in future? I need to be able to let the client share new subfolders, while I drop older subfolders to maintain a reasonable amount of space. Hi, basically I am trying to mass upload product images to various marketplace platforms. So, I'd like to know the right way on how to generate the link to those particular images so that the marketplace server can grab images directly from dropbox. I have tried the "share" and "copy url" way but it doesn't work. Please help!Solved87KViews1like6CommentsHow to share photos from Dropbox
How to Share Pictures using Dropbox Hey Community Friends!:camera: Karina here, and I’m happy to be sharing with you the different ways you can share your pictures using Dropbox(on the web & your mobile devices), on various Social Media platforms(ie. Facebook Messenger & Instagram), as well as how you can display your images on websites as a workaround to how Public Links were once displayed on websites, and through Dropbox Paper. Let’s start off with the basic and most common way to share your photos:Solved51KViews2likes4Commentstwo Dropbox folders on same computer
In reponse to the question, can I have separate Dropbox folders on the same computer (one for me and one for my husband), I was told to go to the page dropbox.com/help/61 If you are not a business user, you are told: If you're a Dropbox Basic or Dropbox Pro user, it's also possible to use a different Dropbox account for each user login on your computer. While this technically means you can have several Dropbox folders on the same computer, you'll have to switch between each user account to take advantage of Dropbox's syncing features. This method is best for groups or families that have individual Dropboxes on the same computer. How does one enact this advice? What am I supposed to be doing? Thanks.Solved47KViews0likes16CommentsUploading photos from phone
I basically got Dropbox in order to move my enormous collection of pictures and videos from my iPhone to somewhere else...The transfer went fine for a while, but then it has stopped and I keep seeing a message saying "waiting to upload". I have quit the application and relaunched, which does nothing. I have even upgraded Dropbox, as I suspect I will need the extra space... There is still over 400 pictures which are "waiting to upload" plus a few videos. And did I mention I started this process 13th of December...?Solved37KViews0likes37CommentsHow to password protect folders
Hi folks, The Dropbox website athttps://www.dropbox.com/features/share/password-protection clearly states that it is possible to password protect a folder in Dropbox, and has an animation on the page that seems to show this happening in a couple of simple steps. However, my version of Dropbox (the basic personal free version) looks nothing like that, and this Dropbox forum has a number of (possibly out of date) posts stating it's not possible to password protect a folder. Can this be done, or do I need to look for a different product? The options I seem to have around sharing and security seem to have are very limited. Even in a free version, I'd expect to be able to add layers of good security! Thanks, GlenSolved27KViews0likes13CommentsMirror Dropbox Folder on Desktop
Perhaps a very basic question. I have a Dropbox folder that I wish to work on with three separate computers (all mine). I want the contents of the folder to also reside on each of these devices, with changes synced to DB. I wish to not depend on always having access to DB so I must have the files on the devices also. I don't wish the entire devices to be synced, but want the chosen folder to be visible on each desktop. What's the easy way to do so?Solved18KViews0likes5Comments
