Dropbox Basic
171 TopicsI keep receiving emails about being over-quota, but there aren't any files on my account.
I receive emails from Dropbox telling me my Basic account has reached its limit; however, when I log into my account there are no files there. I have searched in all folders, there is nothing there. I have also tried to locate these files using my laptop account and there is nothing there. I cannot respond to their emails because it's from an unmonitored mailbox. I cannot call Dropbox because I have the free edition, and their free customers aren't treated with the same care as their paying customers. How can I resolve this if I cannot speak to a live person about it? I'm tempted to reach out to our state's attorney general to file a complaint. This is just bad, bad business.11Views0likes1CommentI can't access someone else's folder due to lack of space?
I get a message to join a folder of an association. When I click on that I get the message that I don't have enough space while I only use 1.94 GB of my 6.75 GB. I keep getting the message to upgrade to more space....... My available space is 6,75 GB but that doesn't matter because it's the map of someone else! If I click on "Lid worden van map" I get message below................ Who knows the solution for that............Solved29Views0likes4CommentsWhy do I get this kind of threatening email from Dropbox that I'll lose access to my files?
I get this email almost daily: "Eligibility confirmed: NAME, you'll lose access to your files if you don't act soon!" I have 1,7 / 2.0 GB on my free storage. What do you mean by this message? I'm no native speaker, but this "you'll lose" is factual statement to me. But how can this be correct as I'm roughly 10% below my max. quota. How can you state something like this? Is this some kind of harassment towards me to make me buy more storage? Please confirm, Do I lose access or not? If the size of the data remains as is?Solved1.3KViews1like8CommentsHow can I check my storage on Dropbox?

Hello - Recently, I reset my computer to factory settings due to a suspicion of hacking. As a result, I had to format my drives, including one that was linked to Dropbox. Before the reset, I checked and believed that the files on this drive had been backed up to Dropbox. However, upon looking today, it appears I have lost a significant amount of critical content; only one file remains in the folder. I am reaching out to see if there is any possibility for Dropbox to recover these files. I would greatly appreciate any assistance or guidance, as these files are of significant importance to me.348Views0likes7CommentsHow can I be using 8.69 GB out of 2 GB?
