Hello, Dropbox was not always syncing via camera upload so I decided to reinstall (on Windows 7 PC and Android phone). The phone icon looks different now (lighter blue) so I guess the Android app is new -- version 3.0.4.10 on Samsung Galaxy S5. I can't access the version on PC, none of the online methods work for me. I can log on to web as well as run the desktop app with a newly reset password. I have disconnected my phone from the account. When I try to sign in I get a banner message "please enter a valid email address". This banner is above the email entry field, unlike the red message UNDER the email entry field when the email is not even an email format.Solved9.2KViews1like5CommentsCan't login using windows 10 - the "Continue" button does not work
It would be nice if there was a board for technical issues, but there's not so i had to just choose "plans and subscriptions". I can't believe that I have to waste my time with the community! How do I get in touch with technical support????? I can't login using windows 10. When I get tot he point of entering the code that was sent to my email and hit the continue button it does not work. I repeat, the continue button itself does not work (dead link). I could not even login to ask the community, I had to login using windows 7. I've made a videos of the problem, but of course, there is no way to actually reach the technical support team, this is just ridiculous. And before anyone asks, YES, I've already tried clearing my cache.8.7KViews0likes18Comments"There was a problem completing this request" on Desktop
I have recently changed laptop so am trying to add Dropbox to my desktop as before. Every time I log in I get the error "there was a problem completing this request": I have changed my email address, password, restarted my computer multiple times but still no luck. I have tried four different times to install and uninstall the dropbox installer, and still no luck. I have gone in to my account and de-linked all connected devices (I'm on a free plan so know I am limited to 3 devices), but that hasn't worked either: Finally, I know it is a problem with my actual user account as I managed to log in with a different username and password for a different dropbox user and it worked fine (all deleted and uninstalled now). Praying some can help, ideally someone who works at Dropbox, to help me get up and running as the desktop function is essential for my work. Thank you!8.7KViews1like14CommentsPersonal Dropbox Refuses to stay signed in on my Mac, while signed into another Enterprise account
I recently got a new Macbook and have both an enterprise and personal account, which have always been accessible in my finder. For some reason, every time I try to log into my personal folder, it downloads and adds all of the contents of the personal account/folder immediately, and then pretty instantly becomes a non-dropbox/standard local folder. No error, it just signs me out in the finder menu Dropbox icon. I went to my settings and deleted every old account that the personal account was attached to b//c I read that it might be du to being connected to too many machines. No change. I made sure to turn off my VPN, though that's never been an issue. No change. Does anyone have a solution for this, it's incredibly frustrating and makes my personal DB useless.Solved7.7KViews0likes16CommentsImpossible to access my files (documents, downloads and desktop) on Mac because of Dropbox sync
Hello, In 2020, I worked for a company and I had to download Dropbox on my computer. Since 1 week, I encountered a big issue with my Mac since I can no longer access all my files. For example, when I try to open my file Documents it says ""Documents" cannot be opened because the original item cannot be found.". I called Apple's customer service and after few days of research, it appears that this problem is caused by the Dropbox syncronization. As I understood it, they told me that my files still exist but it's somewhere on my Mac and that Dropbox bloc the access. The problem is that since I have no news form the company and I don't know if it still exist. Therefore I can't access the account I used when I was working with them. Is there someone who had the same problem or is there anyway to contact Dropbox's customer support ? Thank you in advance6.6KViews1like47Commentsblocked on Firefox 98
I am on Linux 64-bit, running Ubuntu 20.04 with Firefox 98. The issue I'm seeing is that all attempts to log in to Dropbox.com result in this message: Your browser appears to be blocking dropboxcaptcha.com, which is required for authentication. To resolve this issue, please update any anti-virus or ad-blocking software settings to allow connections to dropboxcaptcha.com. I promise this is not an addon/cookie issue: I have made a clean install of the browser, deleted all of its data in the process, etc., to no effect. There is no "anti-virus or ad-blocking software" running on this machine when I make these attempts. I can log in fine on Chromium.Solved6.1KViews0likes3CommentsDropbox desktop app not logging in - MacBook
I recently joined Dropbox and am able to use the web version without any problem However, the desktop app doesn't seem to be working on my MacBook at all. It keeps trying to log in, and the loading wheel keeps turning forever and ever. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application thrice already. My colleagues do not seem to be facing this issue (on much older laptops) MacOS - Sonoma 14.1Solved5.1KViews0likes24Comments
